My wife Pat has been a resident at Springfield park care home for three years now. I have always felt that all the staff do a marvellous job. Yesterday at tea time as usual I was assisting Pat to eat her evening meal when she started to choke. I tried to help her dislodge the trapped food but to no
avail. I then pressed the Nurses call buttons . Within seconds four staff came running in to Pats room. By then the food had cleared it's self. The speed of the staff arriving in the room was marvellous and I can only say thank you to them all for metal cast in response to the call.

I can say that all the staff, from the carers, nurses, domestic staff and catering staff, are all fantastic and all go out of their way to help residents and visitors.
All the careers are constantly checking to make sure residents are ok, and if they need anything, they do their best to sort things
out.
The domestic staff are always checking to see if there is anything they need to do to keep the home spotlessly clean.
The catering staff produce a very varied menu, and it's all good food.
The management team are very professional and makes sure everything is running smoothly at the home.
I will say again that I think that the staff are fantastic. Thank You, All.

Really pleased with the support our daughter is receiving. She came here for respite and was happy with her stay, she wanted to stay longer. It is like home from home for her and all staff are very encouraging in her independence and allowing her to make her own decisions and choices. All staff are
very busy but are always happy and smiling and very helpful. The food is good and plenty of choice. Also a very relaxing environment. Great activities, hairdresser and healthcare is excellent. A big, big thank you to everyone. A happy New Year to all.

I visited my friend at home from Church and after she moved into Springfield Park Nursing home. Her care there has been highly commendable and in particular at the 'end of life'.
She passed last night but I know that every care was taken to give here a comfortable and peaceful passing.
As a Catholic
she received the Sacrament of the Sick, the Rosary was prayed with her by the deputy manager and every care was taken by all to ensure that the ambience of the room was calm and peaceful.
Other visitors can also confirm this.
She passed without stress or pain. I want to thank the manager, the deputy manager and all the staff who supported and cared for her at this precious time.

Job Title: Home Manager

Hi I’m Kay and I am the Manager at Springfield Park Care Home in Rochdale. I am a mental health nurse by background and have been here for over four years. At Springfield we pride ourselves on the fact that we are not the average care home, we have a very diverse range of residents, including many younger adults and we have a very varied and busy activities schedule. I love building relationships not only with the residents but also with their families and friends. I enjoy supporting the team just as much and truly believe that this makes a huge difference. If the team are happy , the residents will be happy! We work with the belief that we work in there home and we do all we can to provide a warm, friendly and informal atmosphere.
