Mum was moved into Wrenbury Nursing Home on 2/2/25, straight from hospital. I have marked the rooms as satisfactory/good because I would have preferred her to have had a room with an en-suite rather than a commode visible in her room at all times. The staff are all wonderful and I feel that they treat
everyone as individuals with kindness, respect and dignity. The food is very good and regular drinks are given throughout the day. The activity coordinator supports and includes all the residents and treats them as if they were family.

The good marks are due to the kindness and even often loving attitude shown by staff to my mother.
Also I appreciate the leadership in the way messages about the home encourage staff to treat residents like this and the orderly and clean upkeep of the place. I believe the home manager keeps the staff
to a good level of care of the residents.
Also the activities co ordinator has such a great heart for interacting with the residents and finding a variety of activities to keep them busy and using their mental faculties.
Mums room is small but she is only in it to sleep. The daycare rooms allow for a different space to visit than the main activities room so I find visiting fine.
In summer a wheelchair walk down a country lane has always been a nice thing to do with mum.

My Mother was transformed from another nursing home two years ago. The care here is fantastic which has been reflected in my Mother's health. She is brighter and less agitated than in the other home.
The man who runs the crafts/activities in the home is brilliant - every day something different is
arranged.
I can't thank you all enough for the care you give my Mother.

Our mum is being well looked after in this nursing home. The staff are fantastic, helpful and friendly. Interacting with everyone who stays here and their visitors. They help to keep everyone mentally active and interested. Encourage people to eat and drink whilst daily entertainment helps so much.
Thank you.

My mother has been at Wrenbury Nursing Home since October 2023. Her dementia journey started twelve years ago, I can honestly say I've never seen her so settled and comfortable. The team are a credit to the home and they work so hard and well together to ensure a positive daily routine with continuity
of staff. Their number one priority is the residents who are happy, clean and well entertained by the activity coordinator with his programme in place for their stimulation and exercise. The residents trust and show great affection towards the staff too. I personally value the support given at meal times to ensure my mum is nourished and hydrated with her individual feeding plan in place. Wrenbury Home is good at informing me when Mum is struggling a little or is needing a visit from the local GP. They introduce past favourites such as music and annual celebrations with some good parties inviting families. If you are looking for nursing care for a loved one, I can highly recommend Wrenbury.

Very welcoming staff, extremely helpful and polite. Mum's birthday was in August and she was presented with a lovely bouquet of flowers and had her photo taken. The staff are all very caring and the home has a very friendly atmosphere. There are always lots of activities going on, couldn't wish for
a better home, always lots of staff to chat to. All in all a lovely care home in a very lovely part of Cheshire.

Thoroughly impressed with the standard of care my father received whilst at Wrenbury Hall Nursing Home. He required a high level of complex nursing care including a peg feed and the staff fulfilled these responsibilities professionally and with real care. My daughter and I were unable to find fault
with any of the care he received which, considering our combined forty years of experience working in the care industry is high praise indeed.
We found the staff to all be genuine, caring individuals who went above and beyond in attempts to communicate with my father as he was unable to speak after his stroke. Using visual prompts and engaging with his eye contact making non-verbal conversations a possibility. We will be forever grateful to the staff for seeing him as an individual and trying their best for him in every way.

Continue to be pleased with the care my mother receives in Wrenbury Nursing Home. She has now settled into her life in care. We like she has her own room and bathroom and a view of the garden from her window. Her room is always clean and tidy. I would thank the management and front desk staff who are
very good. Most of all, I think the medical care she receives is excellent. The fact that she is as well as she is, is a credit to them. They are always quick to inform us of any changes in her condition. Overall, pleased with the care she receives. Thank you.

The staff are a credit to Wrenbury Nursing Home with professionalism and care. The difference in our Mum's mobility and clarity from her dementia is noticeable both mentally and physically in the short time she has been in the home. We are very grateful to all the management and staff for all of their
care and compassion.

My husband was moved here from another home and I immediately knew it was just right for him. He was put straight to bed - the correct size and safe. The staff were kind and attentive to both him, my daughter and me. We were kept informed of his condition and at the end of his life, he and we had such
kindness. He died with dignity. Thank you so much.

All the staff and management are very kind and caring about my mother's care. Nothing is too much trouble if they have any concerns they ring you to explain the problem. Since my mother has been in the care of Wrenbury Hall Nursing Home, I have never once had to worry about her care and wellbeing, they
are very professional people who provide the best of care which gives me peace of mind.

Mother was a resident between September 2021 and her death in March 2022. Her general health improved markedly with the care given. She was well cared for and the staff attentive to her needs. Communication with the home was good and I was always kept informed of any changes in her wellbeing. Nursing
standards were high especially wound care. Staffing levels seemed adequate. A strict covid policy was adhered to. Eventually, it was covid which took Mother away but she was cared for in the home until the end and died with dignity.

My mother has lived at the home for the last 3 years. The care shown to her has been exceptional and, as a family, we are extremely grateful to everyone who works there. We are immediately informed by phone if Mum has any changes to her health and, during the Covid pandemic, we were sent clear information
regularly in respect of the latest guidelines about visiting and were offered options to have phone and video calls with Mum. Despite the enormous pressure the staff must have been under at this time, they remained reassuringly calm and professional. Once visiting was allowed again, strict safety procedures were put in place and on arrival at the home we are guided through them each time to ensure continued protection for all the residents and those who work there.

My mother, with terminal cancer, was transferred from hospital. Whilst she struggled at first, the staff and management worked very hard to settle her and spend time with her to give support and reassurance. We have since moved her to a place close to relatives, this is no reflection on the home. Many
thanks to the dedicated caring and professional staff who became friends of my mother.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.545)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.545) out of 10 for Wrenbury Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.845 for Wrenbury Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (73 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.845
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wrenbury Nursing Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 registered maximum number of service users is 6.6, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
