Overall Experience
I cannot thank all of the staff enough for the exceptional care they provided to my father during his time at the home. Every member of the team treated him with kindness, dignity, and compassion, and it gave our family great comfort knowing he was so well looked after.
The staff and Home Manager also showed incredible care and support to my mother, taking the time to reassure her, keep her informed, and make sure she felt welcome and supported throughout. They made it possible for them to have meal times together and reminisce old times. Their compassion extended beyond just caring for my father, they cared for our whole family.
Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and the warmth, professionalism, and dedication of the team made such a difficult time much easier to bear. We will always be grateful for everything they did and would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for outstanding, person-centred care.

Thank you all for your kindness and unwavering support.

Firstly I want to say thank you to all the staff of the Manse. They recently looked after a very close family friend and made him as comfortable as possible during his final 12 months. So when the situation arose where we needed to find a Home for an immediate family member we didn't look any further. The Staff at the Manse arranged for us to borrow a wheel chair so we could ensure safe and comfortable travel for my Uncle. This level of courtesy has continued through his stay at the Manse and has been extended to my family and visitors. We've all been impressed with the standard of facilities and Level of Hygiene aswell as the genuine care that the team have for my uncle. So big thank you!

We would like to thank the staff who work in the Manse for the excellent jobs they are doing. My father has been a resident with you for around 18 months and in this time he has been more settled and comfortable. We really appreciate the cleanliness of the home and also how friendly and supportive you have all been. One aspect of care which we know has been positive for dad is the quality of the food, that has made a big difference to his mood when we visit. We also would like to thank you for the happy atmosphere that has made a difference to dad and to us when we visit. Knowing that he is well cared for by caring staff like yourselves has helped give us peace of mind and also that all the residents have such benefits means a lot. Many thanks for all your hard work.

My mother has been a resident at The Manse Nursing Home for several weeks, enough time to give a good impression of the standard of care in the establishment. Both my mother and I have appreciated the quality of care offered, the setting, and general standards of cleanliness and catering. Most importantly, however, is the personalised and engaged manor in which the care is offered. Staff, at all levels, are friendly, caring and good in there interaction with my mother - It is a pleasure to spend time in this setting, knowing the quality of care provided.

My dad has been living at The Manse for the last 6 months and we are all very happy with the care that he receives. The staff are all friendly and professional, the food is fabulous and there are a number of weekly activities which follow the published schedule. Both my father's room and the home as a whole are spotlessly clean. There are a couple of lounges where we can sit with dad, one of which can be booked for specific visits with our family, when we are not in his own room. His room is bright, airy and spacious and is always ready for him to receive visitors, which is great. The ladies who run the laundry are amazing. Dad is always dressed in his own clothes and special care is taken with garments that need to be washed/dried in a particular way.

Most importantly, we are confident that dad is receiving the highest level of nursing and physical care, in a compassionate manor, where he is treated with dignity at all times. There is also a lot of laughter and banter for good measure

My Aunt has been a resident at The Manse since October 2024, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention she has received during her time there.
From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, safe, and valued.
Every member of the team, from nurses and carers to the housekeeping and activities staff have consistently shows compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to residents' well-being. It's clear they take pride in what they do.

What has impressed me most is the personal approach they take to her care. They know her preferences, understand her needs, and always make time for a friendly chat or a reassuring word. The has had a positive impact and it's been a huge comfort to our family to know she is in such capable and caring hands.

The home itself is clean, warm, and inviting, with a lovely atmosphere and a wide range of activities.

We are deeply grateful to everyone at The Manse for the outstanding care they provide to my Aunt.

My friend has been in the Manse nursing home for approximately 5 months due to the closure of her last home. Up to now, I have been extremely satisfied with her care compared to the last two homes she has lived in. I am her deputy.
She appears to be much happier, healthier, and looks much cleaner and, is dressed in her own clothes which was an ongoing issue where she was before. She has a lovely clean room. Activities are on offer if she wishes to participate in them. The dining tables are set with a tablecloth and, napkins making meal times much nicer for the residents.
All the nursing staff I have spoken to have been very friendly and helpful also from reception staff to cooks and cleaners.
The owners of the home appear to take an interest in the running of the home ensuring they are aware of any problems that may arise.

I hope the Good care she is receiving at present will continue.

I cannot fault The Manse Care Home at all. First and foremost the staff are exceptional. They are very friendly, helpful and courteous with residents and visitors alike and my father particularly enjoys the friendly banter. He gets a prompt service whenever he makes any requests, and actually says "you'll never find a better place than this". And quite honestly I don't think we could.

My mum was in The Manse for just under 2 years and the care afforded to her was excellent. The whole team at The Manse all had a part in providing some form of care to her and I can't thank them enough, and also the kindness they showed to me. When my mum first went to The Manse it had not long changed ownership and there was evidence of a lot of work being undertaken in the home. One of the new owners was often there and was keen on listening to families' views and acting on issues/suggestions raised. There was a period when I felt I wasn't being informed of what was happening with my mum but when I raised this, it was addressed and I was fully informed going forward. The care and compassion that was shown to my mum, and to me, in her final hours was very comforting. I can't thank everyone enough for everything they did for my mum and in making her last few years as comfortable as possible and giving me some lovely memories.

I would like to thank The Manse for taking my dad in at the speed and efficiency that they did. His partner was rushed to hospital following a stroke and I had to find a care home for him immediately. The Manse kindly took him in as soon as I called up and he stayed there for the next 6 weeks. They arranged to move him downstairs to a room that best suited his needs as soon as he moved in.

My wife was admitted to The Manse Care Home in June 2023 on the recommendation of the care discharge team at the hospital. On admission, she was unable to walk, feed herself or take her own medication. Under the care of the team at The Manse and the reassessment of her medication, in the last six months, her outlook has improved and as a result, she can now walk with her frame. She has improved her own motivation with the help of myself and the excellent staff with the result that there has been a good improvement in her well-being.

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible care and support the staff at The Manse have provided to my brother. Their dedication and kindness have made an immense difference in his life, as well as in ours and we are truly thankful. From the very beginning, it was evident that they approached their role as carers with genuine compassion and a commitment to making sure my brother felt comfortable and well cared for. Their patience, attentiveness and unwavering positivity have not only eased his daily challenges but also brought warmth and happiness to our family. Their dedication is a source of comfort and reassurance for our family, knowing that my brother is in capable and caring hands. Their support has not only improved his quality of life but has also allowed us to have peace of mind during challenging times.

My mum moved into the Manse in September 2021 and sadly passed in December 2023. She was a very private, strong-willed lady, who was incredibly bright and sensible. Her care and friendships with staff, from cleaners to nursing staff were brilliant. The catering staff went out of their way to accommodate food my mum enjoyed. All staff took the time to talk to her and she was always interested in stories from the staff.
As time went on Mum needed more medical intervention. As a family, we cannot thank everyone enough for the care they gave her. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always so well looked after.
I and my daughter formed a great relationship with the staff and we miss visiting The Manse as it had a wonderful caring atmosphere.
Much appreciated phone calls after we lost my mum from the staff at The Manse who showed genuine care and sincerity.

Thank you to each and every one of you, my mum felt safe, loved and cared for throughout.

All I can say is thank you to every member of staff at The Manse Care for their fantastic care and professionalism. My husband went into The Manse in January and although we had reservations, I can not praise all the staff enough.
The interaction between all members of staff and my husband is a joy to see.
The place is really clean, uncluttered and bright and cheerful.
Dietary needs are catered for and all clients are treated as individuals.

Would I recommend this nursing home to others? - You bet I would.

My general experience of The Manse is friendly and welcoming. It's a clean, safe environment for your loved ones. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, it has a personal touch about it. It's clean and attention to detail is taken. The decor is pleasant to the eye and it was a lot of effort taken to make it suitable for residents. A good range of healthy local food is on the offer which is cooked and served in a professional manner. The care given is person-centred to every client. It helps them achieve the best possible standard of living and equal opportunities. There is a good range of activities available. Including various interest groups and visiting entertainers and a very active well-being manager. The outside space has been thoughtfully planned to create a lovely environment with seating areas and beautiful planting of foliage and flowers. I feel very happy with the professional standard that is within the home. It is a pleasure to visit The Manse.

I have been in The Manse since January 2023 till now. I was only meant to be here for four weeks which the staff knew about, but my stay got much longer. My overall experience is good, the food is tasty, activities are great for the elderly and I often get involved. Sometimes when you call the bell you need to wait quite a while because they are busy. Apart from that, everything is good here.

Hello, I am Gary and I am proud to be part of The Manse Care as a Head Chef. To me is the most fulfilling role at the home as it truly enriches the lives of our residents on a daily basis. If one thing that the residents look forward to the most, it’s got to be good quality homemade food that creates an experience, reminisces memories, and plays that role is something I take a lot of pride in.
