My mother has been a resident at The Manse Nursing Home for several weeks, enough time to give a good impression of the standard of care in the establishment. Both my mother and I have appreciated the quality of care offered, the setting, and general standards of cleanliness and catering. Most importantly,
however, is the personalised and engaged manor in which the care is offered. Staff, at all levels, are friendly, caring and good in there interaction with my mother - It is a pleasure to spend time in this setting, knowing the quality of care provided.

My dad has been living at The Manse for the last 6 months and we are all very happy with the care that he receives. The staff are all friendly and professional, the food is fabulous and there are a number of weekly activities which follow the published schedule. Both my father's room and the home as
a whole are spotlessly clean. There are a couple of lounges where we can sit with dad, one of which can be booked for specific visits with our family, when we are not in his own room. His room is bright, airy and spacious and is always ready for him to receive visitors, which is great. The ladies who run the laundry are amazing. Dad is always dressed in his own clothes and special care is taken with garments that need to be washed/dried in a particular way.
Most importantly, we are confident that dad is receiving the highest level of nursing and physical care, in a compassionate manor, where he is treated with dignity at all times. There is also a lot of laughter and banter for good measure

My Aunt has been a resident at The Manse since October 2024, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention she has received during her time there.
From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, safe, and valued.
Every member of the team, from nurses and carers to the
housekeeping and activities staff have consistently shows compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to residents' well-being. It's clear they take pride in what they do.
What has impressed me most is the personal approach they take to her care. They know her preferences, understand her needs, and always make time for a friendly chat or a reassuring word. The has had a positive impact and it's been a huge comfort to our family to know she is in such capable and caring hands.


The home itself is clean, warm, and inviting, with a lovely atmosphere and a wide range of activities.
We are deeply grateful to everyone at The Manse for the outstanding care they provide to my Aunt.

My dad was discharged from hospital to The Manse and settled in very quickly. He his happy and content and very well looked after. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive towards the residents. They have a full activity programme and I cannot thank them enough for looking after my dad the way

My friend has been in the Manse nursing home for approximately 5 months due to the closure of her last home. Up to now, I have been extremely satisfied with her care compared to the last two homes she has lived in. I am her deputy.
She appears to be much happier, healthier, and looks much cleaner and,
is dressed in her own clothes which was an ongoing issue where she was before. She has a lovely clean room. Activities are on offer if she wishes to participate in them. The dining tables are set with a tablecloth and, napkins making meal times much nicer for the residents.
All the nursing staff I have spoken to have been very friendly and helpful also from reception staff to cooks and cleaners.
The owners of the home appear to take an interest in the running of the home ensuring they are aware of any problems that may arise.
I hope the Good care she is receiving at present will continue.

I cannot fault The Manse Care Home at all. First and foremost the staff are exceptional. They are very friendly, helpful and courteous with residents and visitors alike and my father particularly enjoys the friendly banter. He gets a prompt service whenever he makes any requests, and actually says "you'll
never find a better place than this". And quite honestly I don't think we could.

My mum was in The Manse for just under 2 years and the care afforded to her was excellent. The whole team at The Manse all had a part in providing some form of care to her and I can't thank them enough, and also the kindness they showed to me. When my mum first went to The Manse it had not long changed
ownership and there was evidence of a lot of work being undertaken in the home. One of the new owners was often there and was keen on listening to families' views and acting on issues/suggestions raised. There was a period when I felt I wasn't being informed of what was happening with my mum but when I raised this, it was addressed and I was fully informed going forward. The care and compassion that was shown to my mum, and to me, in her final hours was very comforting. I can't thank everyone enough for everything they did for my mum and in making her last few years as comfortable as possible and giving me some lovely memories.

I would like to thank The Manse for taking my dad in at the speed and efficiency that they did. His partner was rushed to hospital following a stroke and I had to find a care home for him immediately. The Manse kindly took him in as soon as I called up and he stayed there for the next 6 weeks. They
arranged to move him downstairs to a room that best suited his needs as soon as he moved in.

My wife was admitted to The Manse Care Home in June 2023 on the recommendation of the care discharge team at the hospital. On admission, she was unable to walk, feed herself or take her own medication. Under the care of the team at The Manse and the reassessment of her medication, in the last six months,
her outlook has improved and as a result, she can now walk with her frame. She has improved her own motivation with the help of myself and the excellent staff with the result that there has been a good improvement in her well-being.

My mum moved into the Manse in September 2021 and sadly passed in December 2023. She was a very private, strong-willed lady, who was incredibly bright and sensible. Her care and friendships with staff, from cleaners to nursing staff were brilliant. The catering staff went out of their way to accommodate
food my mum enjoyed. All staff took the time to talk to her and she was always interested in stories from the staff.
As time went on Mum needed more medical intervention. As a family, we cannot thank everyone enough for the care they gave her. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always so well looked after.
I and my daughter formed a great relationship with the staff and we miss visiting The Manse as it had a wonderful caring atmosphere.
Much appreciated phone calls after we lost my mum from the staff at The Manse who showed genuine care and sincerity.
Thank you to each and every one of you, my mum felt safe, loved and cared for throughout.

All I can say is thank you to every member of staff at The Manse Care for their fantastic care and professionalism. My husband went into The Manse in January and although we had reservations, I can not praise all the staff enough.
The interaction between all members of staff and my husband is a joy
to see.
The place is really clean, uncluttered and bright and cheerful.
Dietary needs are catered for and all clients are treated as individuals.
Would I recommend this nursing home to others? - You bet I would.

My general experience of The Manse is friendly and welcoming. It's a clean, safe environment for your loved ones. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, it has a personal touch about it. It's clean and attention to detail is taken. The decor is pleasant to the eye and it was a lot of effort taken
to make it suitable for residents. A good range of healthy local food is on the offer which is cooked and served in a professional manner. The care given is person-centred to every client. It helps them achieve the best possible standard of living and equal opportunities. There is a good range of activities available. Including various interest groups and visiting entertainers and a very active well-being manager. The outside space has been thoughtfully planned to create a lovely environment with seating areas and beautiful planting of foliage and flowers. I feel very happy with the professional standard that is within the home. It is a pleasure to visit The Manse.

I have been in The Manse since January 2023 till now. I was only meant to be here for four weeks which the staff knew about, but my stay got much longer. My overall experience is good, the food is tasty, activities are great for the elderly and I often get involved. Sometimes when you call the bell
you need to wait quite a while because they are busy. Apart from that, everything is good here.

I could not fault the care and attention he had till his death and the support that was given to me.
I did not hesitate when we had to find a nursing home for my father.

My elderly lady friend has only been a resident at The Manse for two months. During that time I have been immensely impressed with the depth and level of care she has been receiving. She has a lovely bright room and is frequently visited by staff members and is constantly cared for.
All of the staff
are courteous and helpful, including management, admin staff, nurses and support staff (kitchens etc). I am very pleased and at total ease with my friend's treatment and nursing care.

Having a parent needing time in care is stressful, especially with some awful stories in the media about poor care homes but thankfully this hasn't been the case for us, so to be able to give reassurance and feedback about The Manse is the least I can do.
Every member of its staff that have been involved
in improving Mum's health have shown nothing but kindness, support and compassion towards her and ourselves. We should know as we've been lucky to visit Mum on a daily basis since she was welcomed a couple of months ago.
It's a lovely care home, warm, clean and so friendly. Meals are fantastic, plenty of variety and social activities are always encouraged. Nothing seems too much trouble, even if there is a light not working in their room, it's dealt with quickly.
However, for us, as a family, it is the wonderful staff who go out of their way for all the residents that really put care into this care home and it is so very much appreciated.

Aaliyah Naseem

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

Aaliyah joined The Manse in 2022 as a Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead initially making her way up to becoming a Home Manager from October 2023. She comes with significant experience from the NHS mainly working with the elderly in the stroke rehabilitation unit where she developed strong clinical skills over the years as a Registered General Nurse. Since her time at The Manse, Aaliyah has been instrumental in shaping the compliance regime as the Clinical Lead ensuring the Home continues to deliver the highest standards across all fronts. She has also established strong partnerships with the stakeholders including the NHS, Lancashire County Council, Local GPs and Pharmacies to name a few. But most importantly, during this time, she has forged a very strong relationship with our residents and their families who hold her in the highest regard while she continues to ensure they are cared for with the highest of standards, love and compassion. We are privileged to have her at the helm at The Manse Care and in her role as the Home Manager, she is equally privileged to have the opportunity to continue to make a difference to our residents and their families.

Jennifer Brooks

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2023

Jennifer joined The Manse Care in September 2023 and comes with an extensive 40 years of nursing background. Her experiences span across NHS as well as Adult Social Care where she has held significant senior positions including management and leadership roles where she excelled in leading teams and homes and delivering outstanding person-centred care. Over the years she has led and delivered outstanding outcomes across compliance in varying settings and with her experience we are now ready to take The Manse Care to the next stage on our compliance journey with our aspirations to become an “Outstanding” home. We are delighted to have had Jennifer join us and together look forward to making a difference to our local community and the residents and their families we support.

Hello, I am Gary and I am proud to be part of The Manse Care as a Head Chef. To me is the most fulfilling role at the home as it truly enriches the lives of our residents on a daily basis. If one thing that the residents look forward to the most, it’s got to be good quality homemade food that creates an experience, reminisces memories, and plays that role is something I take a lot of pride in. Having worked as a Chef all around the UK and across the Atlantic in the US, I bring with me a vast culinary experience that allows me to create some amazing menus and give our residents a great experience at The Manse Care.
