I find the staff friendly and interactive. They are always busy doing something beneficial to the residents or environment. They work well as a team and are all inclusive and encouraging, and always have time for that all important smile.

Absolutely first class care environment, with some amazing staff who really, really care. They don't just look after their residents, they go over and above. I won't ever forget seeing a member of staff gently sing to a resident over lunch, to encourage her to eat. The patience they show is second to
none and I'll forever be grateful for the effort they go to, keeping people stimulated and entertained, with something going on daily. Superb home

I came to view Acorn Nursing Home prior to Mum's placement, I was immediately impressed and felt confident that Acorn was the home for Mum and I was not disappointed, Mum was treated with so much care and kindness.
The staff were always smiling and would treat all the residents with the dignity they
deserved. The staff and management bent over backwards and in Mum's latter days, they were a great support to myself and my family showing genuine empathy. A special thanks to the two ladies for going that extra mile nothing was too much trouble and it was so much appreciated.

My dad has been in the Acorn Nursing Home for nearly a month. The nursing care is unparalleled. The management has bent over backwards to make my dad feel at absolute ease. Everyone has been attentive, kind and welcoming. Highly recommended.

So pleased my mum is in the Acorn, it'wonderful, the staff are amazing and so friendly and the atmosphere as soon as you walk in is lovely. My mum is unable to walk and has to have help using the toilet, there are always members of staff available to help her, nothing is too much trouble for the staff,
the food is delicious and there are lots of events in the lounge.

The Acorn Nursing Home is a wonderfully welcoming care home, my mum has settled in really well and the staff can't do enough. The food is really good and they have lots of fabulous activities to join in with. My mum can't walk and there is never an issue with being taken to the toilet, the care is carried

Only came for a short while to visit my elderly gentleman that had been there for 4 days. It was lovely to see him in the communal area enjoying some time with the other residents.
I noticed straight away how attentive the staff were and how they interacted with other residents. My friend was new so
I told them a little history about him and they were genuinely interested in his stories.
The home has a daily activity which is shown at the entrance weekly. Trips are organised and cheese tasting and lots of music too.
I am sure my friend will enjoy staying here!

Our friend has been in the Acron Nursing Home for 4 months. We visit twice a week and have always found the staff to be friendly and caring. The food is very good and the nursing staff very aproachable and professional. The entertainment on a regular basis. Hairdresser, chiropodist, optician when required,
and physio. Our friend has all personal needs met, we have no complaints, and management is always available for any inquiries we may have.

I'm a volunteer with my dog Stormy. We work with Pets As Therapy. We go to see all the residents once a month. It's a warm welcoming place. The staff are lovely very helpful. They work as a good team. All the rooms are very clean and tidy. They have something different each day for the residents to
join in with. I love watching the videos they put on their page.

Mum moved into Acorn on 1st July and everyone and everything's fantastic.
Two members of staff showed me around (2 visits pre-moving in). They're genuine, caring and very, very helpful and understanding.
Mum's room is perfect. I go every day and the room's always clean, tidy and well looked after
by the staff. Talking of the staff - they're all fantastic. Genuinely caring, helpful and friendly. Nothing appears too much for them. Every staff member I've dealt with and spoken with has been amazing. Always smiling and give Acorn a cosy, caring, family feel.
The management team are superb too. Nothing's too much trouble and they act on anything I've mentioned (a few things) immediately.
Food's amazing, via their in-house team, Mum's certainly happy with it all. Laundry is done every day. Activities on virtually every day. Outside hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly (they're great too).
Am 100% sure Mum will be looked after for the rest of her days. Thank you to all at Acorn.

Never having to deal with a care home before I was feeling very anxious, there was no need. The manager, nurses, assistants and even cleaners soon put my mind at ease. My mum is receiving end-of-life care so our family had no visiting time restrictions. Every time we went to the home things are just

The manager of the home has taken the time to explain everything that is going on, the treatment being given to my mother and why it is necessary.
The staff are also excellent in the care they give to my mother when she is being extremely difficult. They also take extra time with her at meal times
as she needs to be assisted when eating.

Having both my parents in nursing homes I have no hesitation in saying Acorn Nursing Home is far superior to the 10 nursing homes I have dealt with. Staff and management are 1st class and whatever problems have occurred they have sorted out all problems with satisfaction.

Dad was in Acorn for about 9 weeks, before he passed away. He was treated with care and kindness by everybody in there.
The staff are always happy and smiling, nothing is too much trouble. Management is very approachable and helpful with anything.
There are always activities going on, quizzes, parties
etc.
I’d recommend Acorn without hesitating.
As a family, we were happy with everything.

Every time when I stay at the Acorn Nursing Home I get looked after better than what I have ever been looked after by the office staff, the nursing staff and everybody else who is involved in the home. I enjoy the activities here at Acorn. They see to my laundry and I don't even have to put it away.
When
I get here they make sure that I have a decent bath at least 2 or 3 times every week.
The home is kept cleaner than I have ever seen a nursing home be cleaned. I love it so much my family has been told when I need a nursing home I want to come to Acorn full time.
