The staff and management are friendly and treat mum well, with respect and dignity. I think the staff are let down by a lack of quality food. They can only feed residents so much on a limited budget or whats ordered. Bedrooms, lounge, dining room are very basic, but I appreciate the residents illness don't allow for the best quality furnishes. I appreciate the chairs etc have to be practical. The garden needs tidying up, often broken chairs, toilets etc are left outside too long. There is limited space to sit with mum, often confined to the dining room which is not satisfactory, as we are unable to take her out anymore. No major concerns but things could be improved for both residents and staff.

While my mum has been in Stockingate she has had excellent care, and the staff are very helpful and caring, and the home is a lovely clean place. It makes me happy to know my mum is well cared for.

My sister was a resident at Stockingate care home , she was happy there for 4 years , then things changed and I believe her care went downhill, I would not recommend this care home, I wish that I had removed my sister before she died in hospital.

What an absolute gem of a care home (Stockingate). This home really cares about the residents. The staff are absolutely outstanding, and nothing is too much trouble for them. It’s like one big happy family. Always recreational games/karaoke/dancing with both residents and carers getting involved. The teamwork and team spirit is breathtaking. They go above and beyond in everything they do. I can honestly say this care home is second to none... thank you so much for everything you do for my dad.

The care my Dad has received at the home has been excellent.
The staff are wonderful and treat my Dad with dignity and care.
The home has improved considerably recently with regards to decoration and furniture.
I still think some of the furniture could be improved/updated.

I am very happy with the care provided for my Dad.

I am so sad to leave this lovely home and all the staff as I have to move nearer to my family. The manager and staff at Stockingate have made me feel so welcome and special over the last few months and I will miss them all terribly. The home is wonderful with lots to do. I enjoy the singalongs and garden club. The food is great and there's lots of it as it's all cooked fresh on the day. I will miss everyone and I am sad to go. Best of luck to you all at Stockingate. God Bless and bye bye. Thank you for all your support, care and kind words.

My mother seems happy, comfortable and well fed. She has lost parts of clothing but has retrieved them and now has her name in them. We will be putting her own TV in her room shortly although she may not be staying there. As we live so far away.

At first I was not pleased with the home, twice I visited he was wearing other peoples clothes, I had taken him plenty of his own, but someone soon sorted it out and after that he always has his own on, and now I can't fault it. The staff are very nice in every way, and always ask if you want a drink. I visit every day and see how they treat everyone as if they are their parents.
