Havenmere is a nurse-led residential home for adults with complex needs.

Havenmere build care and activity plans around individuals, supporting, nurturing and encouraging them to live happy, fulfilled lives. Making every day better is about achieving the best possible outcomes for service users, so goals and outcomes can be identified together with individuals, families and professionals.

Havenmere provides a three stage care pathway, from the wrap-around care of the main home to The Bridgeway, an extended care pathway which accommodates those returning to life in the community, or a way into care for those with a progressive condition who may not yet require complex nursing care.

Havenmere is arranged over three ten-bed units; Mayflower, Clyfton and Pilgrim. Each unit has a choice of lounges, a dining room and kitchen. Service users are encouraged to decorate their bedrooms to suit personal tastes and there are TV points in each room, with WiFi in communal areas. Every bedroom has an accessible en-suite wet room, with additional multi-sensory bathrooms available on each unit.

The Bridgeway’s residential unit includes six single rooms with shared facilities to allow service users to develop their independence and life skills while still receiving some support. Two one-bedroom fully self-contained apartments allow for independent living.

Havenmere understand the importance of good, nutritious food. A varied restaurant style dining menu is developed with service users to ensure personal tastes and dietary preferences including religious and condition-specific requirements are catered for.

Social activities, leisure interests and hobbies are all part of a healthy, balanced life. Havenmere’s dedicated activity staff and service users work together to create meaningful and fun plans.

The resident has been staying with you for over 16 weeks now and he has changed beyond any expectation, his temper and aggression have reduced, he actually seems to like to get involved in some of the activities you arrange, this has been unheard of before.
Compared with all the other homes I have visited when looking for somewhere for him to go to, Havenmere comes out top of the list on all sections, his room is brilliant, he seems to like the food, he thinks the staff are very good at what they do.
I hope he will be able to make Havenmere his forever home.
