Havenmere aims to make ‘every day better’ for adults living with complex needs arising from mental health and neurological conditions.

The home provides nurse-led care that goes beyond what’s typically offered in standard residential care setting.

With a team of Registered General, Mental Health, and Learning Disability Nurses, Havenmere supports people with a wide range of needs – including epilepsy, PEG feeding, mobility impairments, and behaviours of concern.

The home is made up of four small units, each with en-suite bedrooms and shared living spaces, creating a homely environment.

People also benefit from access to a cinema room, beauty therapy room, games room, sensory room, and an accessible garden - all designed to promote confidence, engagement, and wellbeing.

Each unit offers a safe, supportive space with a clear clinical or behavioural focus, allowing the team to deliver highly personalised care that reflects each person’s individual needs, goals, and preferences.

As needs change, individuals can move between units, remaining in a familiar setting with consistent staff and routines.

Whether someone is recovering, stabilising, or living with a long-term condition, Havenmere provides the right support to help them live well and as independently as possible, in a place they can truly call home.

Excellent staff showed not just care and understanding but genuine warmth towards my mother, going above any care she had previously received, not only attending to her needs but trying to get mother to integrate with others and maintain a normal way of life.
This was lead by management, health workers
and carers.

My Dad was moved to Havenmere in March 2023 and since then has settled in really well. The care he receives is fantastic and all staff do their very best to ensure Dad is stimulated and included in any activities taking place. Whenever I visit I'm made to feel very welcome and I feel able to chat
with the staff regarding Dad's care at any time, nothing is too much trouble. I'm involved in, and kept fully up to date with, any decisions regarding Dad's care. It is really comforting to know that Dad is being well looked after and also treat with the utmost care and respect at a time in his life when he can't speak up for himself. Thank you all so much!

Since moving to Havenmere both my husband and our family have been treated with the utmost care and respect. The staff have endeavored to make the transition as stress-free and calm as possible. The care that my husband receives is amazing. Any query or concern that I have had, has been addressed promptly
and courteously. The staff from management down are welcoming to visitors at any time. I really appreciate that I am consulted and involved in my husbands care and I am kept informed of his progress. Thank you!

My mum was a resident on Mayflower unit for approx. 15 months until she got sectioned under mental health act. I cannot fault the care, the compassion, the love, the dedication all the staff gave not only to my mum but also to me. The emotional support especially by two certain carers was above and
beyond. I will be forever grateful. 100% recommend.

I’m very happy with the care that my dad is receiving from Havenmere. I now have peace of mind that he is in a safe environment. The staff are lovely and always willing to give me the time if I need to discuss anything. Sometimes when I ring, they say he’s gone out for the morning, which is lovely to
hear. My dad has settled in very well and that’s a credit to all of the staff. I highly recommend Havenmere and want to thank each and every one of you.

I have been so impressed with the skills and kindness of the staff who have helped my brother get his love for life back after being very unwell. They have encouraged his love of gardening and music, and he has regained his confidence and sense of fun, and it is great to know he is being supported by

The staff at Havenmere have tended my brother with enormous care and compassion since his sudden ill health a few months ago. It took a while to get him the care he needed, but I am 100% certain that he is at last in the very best place for his condition. My brother has responded so well to the exemplary
care provided by all staff members - without exception - and that is testament not only to their expertise but also to the fact that they go the extra mile to provide care focussed on him as an individual – no ‘one size fits all’ provision here.
The Manager requested as much information as possible regarding my brother’s likes/dislikes/achievements etc. prior to his arrival, and his favourite CDS and DVDs were already awaiting him in his room. I was encouraged to bring pictures and ornaments from home to ensure that my brother felt embraced by memories. The accommodation is light, airy and clean and the attention to detail meticulous. The kindness, enthusiasm and patience shown by all members of staff is impressive and they go the extra mile for their residents, including my beloved brother, for which I am extremely grateful.

My sister has resided at Havenmere since 2009, being one of the first residents. She has a long-standing acquired brain injury and has complex needs. Havenmere is by far the best residential setting in which she has lived, particularly in respect of the understanding of her needs and the way in which
she is supported. She has thrived under the care of the team at Havenmere and has achieved so much more than in other settings. The team there really do go 'the extra mile'. Despite me not being in a position to visit frequently I am always kept informed of relevant matters and am always consulted about key decisions. I am always impressed when visiting.

The resident has been staying with you for over 16 weeks now and he has changed beyond any expectation, his temper and aggression have reduced, he actually seems to like to get involved in some of the activities you arrange, this has been unheard of before.
Compared with all the other homes I have
visited when looking for somewhere for him to go to, Havenmere comes out top of the list on all sections, his room is brilliant, he seems to like the food, he thinks the staff are very good at what they do.
I hope he will be able to make Havenmere his forever home.
