My father has been at Boarbank Hall Nursing Home for a year now. He is 102 years old. He is very happy at Boarbank. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. They always have time to chat and joke with the residents. My father loves the company at lunch in the dining room with the other residents.
There
are other opportunities to meet the residents at tea and coffee times as well as during the daily activities. I find the sisters in charge of my father's floor very knowledgeable about all that is happening with my father. At the Jubilee this summer Boarbank ran a spectacular day for all the residents which my father enjoyed greatly. My brother and I live a long way away and it is such a relief to have my father looked after so well and more importantly to know that he is very content.
This must be one of the best nursing homes in Cumbria.

I had three weeks of respite care. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I felt cosseted and cared for, until I was fit enough to go home. I actually enjoyed my time, especially being able to go to mass, every day. I also met some lovely residents.

My Dad is extremely happy at Boarbank Hall. All the staff are very professional and friendly. The atmosphere in there is so happy and comfortable when I go to visit I am made very welcome, always given a drink and staff always happy to have a chat. I didn't like the idea of Dad having to go in a home
but now I feel very settled that he is so well looked after and he feels that Boarbank is his home. I can highly recommend it to anyone needing a nursing home for their loved one.
