Have nothing but praise for the management and staff at The Oaks. They have treated and are treating my auntie wonderfully.
Since moving to The Oaks, my mom's complex nursing needs, nutrition and mobility support are much improved - having been moved from a care home in November 2020. My mom always appears happy, well presented and very well looked after. All staff are friendly and approachable, answer my questions honestly and keep me well informed as to my mom's wellbeing. They provide a consistently happy atmosphere with excellent entertainment and activities for their residents.
As I have not been inside the home for over 11 months I can only provide ratings from my last visit.
Looking after wife, always receive newsletters and phone calls. Her health and welfare, needs I know are taken care of in the home.
Thank you for your lovely comments we will continue to ensure the safety and the well being off all we care for.

I visited the resident once a month so I'm unable to complete all the ratings because I don't know the answers. Mum was very settled in The Oaks Care Home and was well looked after and cared for. I have the utmost praise for the staff.
Hi P A, thank you for your kind review we are currently striving to improve our service at this difficult time.
My mother died of Covid-19 at The Oaks, Blyth on 17th May 2020. I would just like to say the staff are fabulous and have been great to my Mam for the last three years at the home. I could not praise everybody enough. (especially putting the video on for my Mam and sometimes her in the video). All the staff are a credit to you.
Thank you so much for your lovely response. Your mam will be greatly missed by us all. Please take care and stay safe.
Thank you all for your wonderful handling of this awful situation.
Thank you so much for your review, we continue to strive in improving our service at this difficult time.
My Uncle has been at The Oaks for well over a year now, and he seems to have settled in well. The staff are caring and compassionate but also offer him his privacy when needed. There are activities to keep the residents entertained, and staff are always available to talk to if there are any concerns.
Hi Donna, thank you so much for your review, we are continually striving to improve our service and your comments mean a lot at this time, so thank you.
Overall there has been a marked improvement over the past year, and while there is still need for improvement it is heading in the right direction.
Discussed my brother's continued deterioration, present care and needs. Suggestions made and recorded for his care etc. Member of staff very caring and thoughtful.
I find The Oaks very good. The care of mam is excellent, nothing is too much bother.
Happy with things as they are.

Very well cared for. Good food.
Thank you for your comments, we are always striving to improve our service and welcome your thoughts.
After 12 years at The Oaks, my wife died on 20th June 2019. During this time I visited her on a daily basis. During this extended time, I have seen a lot of carers come and go and have always found the care levels outstanding. The place is spotless, the staff are tremendous, the manager is the best I have seen. My wife is the most important thing in my life and as far as her care goes, I could not ask for more.
Thank you, Michael, for your kind comments.
Today review was good. The information I received was really helpful and helped me understand easily.
Thank you for your kind comments, we are always trying to improve the service we give.
