Danybryn is a home (with nursing care) providing a range of services for adults with physical disabilities.
A newly-refurbished Victorian house in its own landscaped grounds near to Cardiff, the home is now equipped with assistive technology, which enables residents to open doors, control lighting and enjoy facilities independently.
The home is located about five miles from Cardiff city centre and the thriving Cardiff Bay area. Several historic places of interest are nearby such as the Castle Coch fairytale castle and St Fagans National History Museum.
Residents make sure their home has a lively atmosphere. At their request, professionals offer a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, music acts and therapy, home cinema days, story telling and IT classes. Care workers also enjoy holding events in the home such as musical evenings, fun days and fundraisers.
Fully-trained staff work hard to ensure everybody is happy in their home. Professionals support residents to be independent and to take part in community activities as they wish.
