At Hillside, the weekly fee can vary depending upon the type of room that an individual or their family chooses. A standard room for example, will incur weekly fees at the underlying Swansea Social Services Fee Rate, regardless of whether that individual is Privately funded or Social Services funded. We believe that this is a fairer and more equitable approach, as opposed to charging Privately funded individuals more.

Place like Hillside Care Home come highly recommended by my care workers while at home, after researching many in the Swansea area I was completely satisfied with the recommendation given by many that Hillside was the care home for me. After being in the home now for 4 week's all the advice given me was 100% right. I found that nothing was to much trouble for the care workers, and the for meal's was excellent by the chef

After experiencing 3 months in various hospitals, coming to Hillside Care Home was wonderful. I would definitely recommend Hill House to anyone having a care experience as myself. Everyone is so caring and gives you lots of encouragement. The entertainment is great, even Elvis comes to visit us!! Thank you. The building itself is so beautiful, and the views are to die for.

My father has been at Hillside since April 2025, until he sadly passed away recently. Since he arrived there, we have been extremely happy with the care he has received. The staff there are very caring and professional and have looked after him so well. Dad always said 'I am well looked after' and he was!. Although dad was less social in his later years, the staff always encouraged him to join in with the activities they offered. We saw other residents enjoying different activities and outings every week. The staff were always respectful of dad's wishes at all times. The food was great and freshly prepared. The lounges were comfortable and welcoming. We couldn't have made a better choice of care home for dad.

In his last few weeks, dad was cared for by the nursing staff and did not need to go to hospital. This was a blessing for him and for the family, as the palliative care he received was excellent.

My husband has been at Hillside for 7 months and has settled in well. The first few weeks were the most difficult, but the staff were always ready to chat and lend sympathetic ears. I am most impressed by the way each resident is treated as a unique individual, every effort is made to accept and accommodate, little quirks and personal preferences. Overall, our family is very happy that we chose Hillside for my husband.

Mam has been at Hillside Care Home for five years and feels part of the family here. She is fond of the carers and she has become special to them. Kindness is so important and we have experienced that here. Any queries about her care have been listened to and acted upon by management.

My wife and I have been deeply impressed and totally delighted by the quality and professionalism of the care my father-in-law has received at Hillside Care Home. The staff are highly-trained, personally-attentive, friendly, respectful and genuinely caring when our loved one has experienced challenges or medical complications. From the day Mum joined Hillside Care Home, she has been cared for to an exceptional standard. She has a lovely bedroom, there is a large sitting area and lots of smaller more private areas including several gardens. The food is lovely, and the entertainment manager keeps every day full of activities and fun. All the carers and staff are approachable and lovely. Hillside locked down early for Covid, obtained lots of PPE, created an isolation procedure and brought several oxygen concentrators; exceptional.

I'm very impressed with everything. Especially the great care and planning that has kept the home free of Coronavirus. It has been most thorough and thoughtful. The video app is great so that we feel in touch with our relatives even though we haven’t been able to visit.

Hillside is a very well managed home. During the current lockdown, the management team have done a superb job of managing and keeping relatives informed of current situations. It is very reassuring to know that our loved ones are being so well looked after. The majority of staff do over and above, and I am always greeted and made welcome during normal visiting. I visit regularly (4/5 times weekly - not during lockdown though!) so feel able to give an honest opinion.

Our mum was admitted to Hillside about 3-4 weeks before lockdown. We were impressed with the home during that period, but their response concerning the virus has been exemplary. They shut down earlier than the Government guidelines, have set up a facetime app, sent out regular newsletters which have been very thorough and carried out a survey on peoples thoughts of how best to open up again. This will now be extended to June 18th and reviewed again with our input. First-class!

My mother has been a resident at Hillside for a number of years now and has received excellent care. During the Coronavirus outbreak, the home has acted professionally to ensure that their residents have been cared, looked after and protected as much as possible from Covid-19.
The home has been updating on social media of all the activities that have occurred, with lots of photographs, and it been great for families to see their loved ones on a regular basis!
Families have also been kept updated on a regular basis during the Coronavirus pandemic, and also involved in their opinions as to possibly the ease of restrictions.

I would not hesitate in recommending Hillside.

We found the staff, from managers to cleaners, so kind and caring, not only to the residents but to visitors as well. Refreshments were always available and no visiting restrictions. We were so glad that we found such a home.
