I'm afraid my wife passed away on the 20th April 2026 but I would like to say the staff and management could not of been more caring, and professional. She was well looked after in every way. As she deserved to be.

My late mother resided here from August 2025 to October 2025. I found the manager and all staff to be extremely professional and helpful. My mother was very well looked after and treated with dignity at all times. She was very well looked after. Her room was always clean, warm and met all of her needs. 24 hours a day. Although my mother was not a long term resident due to her passing away I was happy with everything at The Gnoll. The manager was outstanding and always approachable.

Reply from Elaine Sardar-Dean, Director of Complianc at Gnoll Nursing Home

Overall Experience
My elderly mother-in-law resided at the Gnoll nursing home for eight years during which she received exemplary care and love from all the staff. It really was home from home to her and she was so pleased to have found a place there. Towards the end she required intensive nursing care, and that was delivered with sensitivity and respect that was reassuring and complete . She enjoyed the home cooked food, the activities in the common room, and the good company of all the staff.

The staff were knowledgeable about her condition, kept us up to date with her ongoing health issues, and were always pleasant and welcoming. Having visited a number of local care homes and residential homes I would say that the Gnoll was by far the best, to the extent that I myself would be happy to live there should the need arise.

My mother in law has been at this home for four years, receiving excellent care from an extremely dedicated staff. She feels she is well looked after and feels staff are pleasant and professional at all times. As a visitor on a regular basis the home is always warm and welcoming. Staff always have time for a little chat and an update on my mother in law, which is very much appreciated. Also I always feel able to pop into the office for a general update.

My husband was admitted to the Gnoll Nursing Home in March 2023 and was there until he passed away on 29/1/25. During his stay there he was treated with respect and well cared for. The staff were very caring and friendly. Also the management were also caring and understanding his needs. All in all I am very satisfied with his care there.
