The staff are highly qualified and motivated enabling them to meet the needs of the residents. Each resident has an individual care package, specifically planned to reflect their personal needs and choices. Residents are welcome to bring in personal treasures and small pieces of furniture to personalise their own room. Activities are planned to meet the residents’ needs but they also respect a person’s need for peace and quiet and choice on how they spend their day.

My mother's health gradually deteriorated resulting in her needing 24 hour care and was transferred from hospital to Woffington in August 2026. This was a very traumatic experience for my mother and the family. The transition into residential care was handled with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. Seeing my mother respected as an individual with her dignity, comfort and wellbeing at the forefront was so reassuring for us. The staff are dedicated and kind and ensure that all care needs are met. My mother's medication is complicated but has been handled well without any issues. We are always updated on progress during our daily visits. Protected meal times ensures a structured and calm environment for residents to enjoy the house cooked meals. The lounge and conservatory need upgrading. Laima the Manager is very supportive and ensures there is a very happy and structured environment for all residents. Having Jackie as a point of contact has also been invaluable to us as a family.

My mum was admitted to Woffington in October 2025 following a hospital admission to hospital. She was very mentally unwell at the time due to advanced dementia. Since admission to Woffington she has seemed calm and content. She has developed various physical health conditions but these are being managed between the home and GP practice. Unfortunately her mobility has declined but she is transferred using appropriate equipment and feels safe with the carers. Mum loves her food and thoroughly enjoys all her meals. She is supported with personal care needs and always looks well presented which has always been important to her. Overall she is content, safe and well cared for. Any issues are always communicated to myself in a timely manner and all the staff make me feel welcome when I visit.

My mother in law has mixed dementia plus a range of other health conditions. She came here as a result of a fall, as it was not safe to send her home. We had planned to bring her here for respite, so she had already been assessed and had met management, fortunately. The change in her since she has been here is tremendous. She is much happier, more active and well looked after. She tells us that she feels safe here and gets on really well with the carers and staff. She joins in with all the activities and has brightened up since having more social interaction. She is walking so much better and is much happier. It is good to see a little of her old self coming back, now and then. Woffington House and its staff were there just when we needed them and we cannot thank them enough. We hope she will be able to be a permanent resident very soon.

On arrival he was a man needing extra care, in a few months of being there he has now passed away. They don’t write reports or check on individuals. All they say is do they want a hair cut or nails cut that’s an extra £50. Something needs to be done about this place. Do not send anyone you care about here please!

I’m sorry that you feel that you’ve been mistreated. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, you were aware that visiting was restricted to outside visits only and that pre-booking an appointment was requested in order to manage the safety of the residents and not overstretch the staff. It has to be said that you have repeatedly ignored these restrictions. On this day - you had not booked in, you blocked an active ambulance with your car as you attempted to park in the bay reserved for emergency services and nearly ran over a staff member in the car park. Despite this, the staff were accommodating and facilitated your visit for the benefit of your mother. The canopy had been lost in the high winds of previous days.Your mother’s teeth were returned to her immediately after they were repaired but her notes state that they still hurt and she refused to wear them. As for the kit - specialist bariatric kit is not provided for in the basic contract and the kit remains your property.

Laima began her career in the care sector in 1985, initially working within Adult Mental Health before transitioning into Elderly Care shortly thereafter. She later gained valuable experience within the NHS and has continued to develop her career across a range of care settings.
Over the course of her career, Laima has progressed from Carer to Senior Carer, before moving into leadership roles. Her two most recent positions were as Deputy Manager within EMI residential care settings, where she gained extensive experience supporting residents with complex needs and contributing to the effective management of care services.
Laima is now undertaking her first role as Home Manager, bringing with her a wealth of practical experience, strong sector knowledge, and a clear commitment to delivering high standards of care. She has completed her Level 4 QCF in Leadership and Preparing for Management in Health and Social Care and is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care.
