We visited 12 care homes before finding Eleanor Hodson House and I'm so glad we chose them. Dad has settled in really well despite his reluctance to ever move into a home. All of the team treat him with so much respect. They are happy to safely move him from his bed to his chair where they...
and to his wheelchair so he can join others in the dining room/lounge which has helped so much with his wellbeing. I feel dad is safe and well cared for with his personal as well as his medical needs being managed by a caring team.
Staff are fabulous we can't thank them enough. They are kind and dedicated and treat my loved one with dignity and respect. They are so supportive and helpful. As a family we appreciate all they do for mum.

Lovely homely feeling home, with staff and management who genuinely care about the quality of life and health of the residents. Take the time to get to know the residents and their quirks and concerns and make sure they are happy and comfortable there. Have had issues with the activities offered but this was sorted out as soon as it was raised to manager. Food is not always to the taste of my resident, but that is because she has particular taste. That being said, the manager will ensure that she has a specific separate meal occasionally and is made to feel special.

From the moment my father arrived at Eleanor Hodson House, he felt completely at home in his lovely room and communal areas. The care he has received has been exemplary especially as his needs have increased. The nursing staff have called in specialist teams as needed and he is now diagnosed as having dementia. The staff are kind and caring and the manager outstanding. She is always available to discuss concerns, is always to be seen around the home and on top of all issues.
