This is my honest opinion and only pleased to have the chance to convey this here.

We have been very happy with the excellent nursing team who are always approachable and go above and beyond to look after Mum's medical needs, thé kind carers and management and the fabulous activities organisers. I feel Mum is well looked after.

My relative has been a resident at Oak House Care Home for just over four years and throughout this time has been treated with the utmost care, respect, dignity and compassion. My relative has experienced moments of illness and dementia difficulty, but I have always been involved, reassured and kept up to date with her treatment, progress and recovery. The staff work incredibly hard at maintaining a relaxed and supportive environment for all of the residents. I am extremely grateful to all of the manager and all of the staff for their unwavering care of my relative.

Our family friend stays here for respite care every so often, and we couldn't be happier with the support they receive. The home is always welcoming and accomodating to their individual needs. The staff are kind, friendly and make them feel valued and at home during every stay

With my sister having a learning disability I obviously worried for her ability to ask for assistance when needed and coping with living outside the family environment , I can honestly say my sister surprised us all with the way she settled in , she is so content and happy she looks on the staff as her friends and is treated in such a caring way . . It is a joy to visit her and see her so settled .

The home is clean and smells fresh. All the staff work extremely hard and are friendly and approachable.

The Romilly has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are kind and attentive. My interaction with the nurses and assistants is always helpful and informative. The room is basic and small, however my brother is comfortable there and happy with it. The manager, Sarah, is a joy. She is excellent. She understands completely my brothers needs and problems and deals with everything in a positive, kindly manner. Above and beyond in delivery whatever is required.

Mum is so happy here. She has settled in so well. She loves the food and is now eating more than she ever did. She loves the staff and she is always smiling. My sister and I feel so much happier now she is being so well looked after. Thank you.

The quality of care/support appears to be high although a little more variable during the nights. The recent re-establishment of activities has been well received. Fee's are high but not to disimilar to other providers -service standard is consistent and strong.

Our father had to go into care at the end of 2025 which is a traumatic event for both him and the family. Sophie the manager was absolutely tremendous from the offset, reassuring and compassionate. Dad soon settled. The team at Oak House are very supportive and caring and nothing was to much trouble. Housekeeping is very good and all the food is cooked fresh in the kitchen and there is a very good choice.

Communication is excellent and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault the quality of care delivered at Oak House and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Lovely friendly staff, really clean inside. My dad is being looked after really well. So impressed. Always talking to staff, and they will go out of their way to help you.

Overall I find the Romilly caring and kind to all residents and to my mum, the activities team are great!

The room and bed is always clean and tidy. My mum is treated with dignity and respect.

Ambitious

The home has a lovely friendly atmosphere. Always so clean smelling too. Staff all lovely and friendly.

I needed to find somewhere for my Mum to have respite care and from the moment I contacted Oakhouse they were amazing. All the staff are so kind, Sophie the manager was so lovely with Mum and held her hand throughout our first meeting to reassure her. There's always music playing, and always something going on. Mum was a bit unsettled to begin with but they reassured her - and let me phone every day to see how she was. they were aware of how to cope with Mum's dementia and were kind, encouraging and caring. I've booked her in for another resbite.

I am incredibly grateful for the care and kindness the staff have shown my husband since he moved into the home. The staff are always patient, compassionate and attentive, and it is clear that they genuinely care about the residents' well-being. Communication with us is also excellent, the staff always happy to update me, and answer any questions I have. The home is always clean and comfortable.

The staff at the care home are always happy and willing to help, they have a great relationship with the residence from what I see and seem really happy to be working at the care home. The management team take a flexible approach in dealing with families of the residence depending on the special needs of the person which I feel is a very sensible way to work. If ever we need to ask for an adjustment, the team will do what they can to assist with this. We are never worried about asking for anything. The food always looks good and I feel confident my father is being well looked after and is in safe hands. This gives us all peace of mind!
