We have just gone through the process of finding a home for my mother in law. I thought that Eleanor Hodson house delivered a professional caring listening service in helping us decide this was the right place for her to go to. It is early days but we've been impressed with the problem solving attitude,
the warm welcome, the attention to detail from everyone we have come into contact with at the home. Thanks for making this an easy transition.

I cannot fault the care and attention my brother has had at Romilly Nursing Home. He was only 65 when he moved in but every effort was made to accommodate him. All the staff are very caring and attentive, when at home he wouldn't eat but since being at the care home he is enjoying the food and has re-gained
his weight. Fabulous team from management to carers.

Lovely homely feeling home, with staff and management who genuinely care about the quality of life and health of the residents. Take the time to get to know the residents and their quirks and concerns and make sure they are happy and comfortable there. Have had issues with the activities offered but
this was sorted out as soon as it was raised to manager. Food is not always to the taste of my resident, but that is because she has particular taste. That being said, the manager will ensure that she has a specific separate meal occasionally and is made to feel special.

My Mum moved to Oak House during the first Covid lockdown. It was a difficult time as we were unable to view the home before her moving in and were unable to visit.
The staff were wonderful-I was sent videos and pictures of Mum's room which looked lovely and pictures of Mum looking happy and settled.
A
lot of effort was made by the home to facilitate safe visits when the restrictions were lifted and it was clear to see that Mum was being very well cared for.
All the staff I have encountered at Oak House are friendly and interact brilliantly with the residents. You can see that the residents like the staff who care for them so diligently.
Mum has sadly had to move on from Oak House due to her condition becoming more complex.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oak House to anyone seeking residential care.
I thank all the staff for caring for Mum so excellently and always keeping me informed and involved. A special thank you to the care home manager, who goes above and beyond.

The care is faultless as the staff is what makes Oak House a welcoming place for residents and family.
Having changes to the building but can see it will help visits and function's in the future.
Always a choice of meals.
My dad has become more stable
from the care at Oak House.
If my family have issues we talk to the staff or management.
They are dealt with.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care my mother receives at Llantarnam Lodge. She has been there for several years and is very content and happy. The staff are incredibly dedicated, compassionate, and professional, always ensuring her needs are met with kindness and respect. I have complete peace
of mind knowing she is in such good hands. The staff are always prompt in answering the door and calls, and I generally have no issues with the level of communication. The team here truly go above and beyond, and the addition of new team members has further strengthened the level of service. I am deeply grateful for their hard work and commitment to making life better for everyone.

Communication with Oak House is excellent, I am always kept up to date with my aunt's health and wellbeing. The home is comfortable, some improvements have been made and are also in progress. The residents always appear well dressed, nourished and entertained.
My aunt can be difficult to deal with
and fortunately the staff are excellent at diffusing situations and provide support and encouragement to the residents.
The only negative is obviously the care home fees but I appreciate everything they do for my aunt.

My sister has been in the Nursing home since August 2023, it took her a little while to settle but with the help of the staff she settled down, the staff and management team together with the nursing staff and carers. Also with the activities girls, have been most helpful, I have even noticed that the
maintenance team at the home have been very helpful. The home has been constantly cleaned from what I have observed and the food at the home is very good. The laundry has been kept up to date and if anything is needed it gets sorted straight away. The activity girls are always entertaining residents at the home.

My mother has been a permanent resident at Oak House. The staff and management always keep me updated regarding my mother as she has not been in the best of health lately they check her blood pressure and sats and call the doctor if they suspect a water infection. They see to all her personal needs
as well.
Since my mother has been a resident I can feel assured as I know my mother is been looked after 24 hours a day and night they also have activities in the day to keep her stimulated. Great location as well the local park across the road and plenty of pubs and shops nearby if I take my mother out for a couple of hours. The staff and residence are like mine and my mother's extended family.
