Romilly Nursing Home is a modernised Victorian building situated in a leafy suburb just two miles from Cardiff city centre.

The warm and caring nursing home is accessible by all transport links and is close to local amenities including shops, a library, a church and several parks.

Each room has a wash hand basin and is furnished to a very high standard. A ‘state of the art’ nurse call system has also been installed in all rooms and is monitored regularly.

Romilly consider each resident to be unique and staff endeavour to assist them in meeting their various requirements by promoting health and happiness.

Residents’ families are encouraged to participate in the development of their individual care plans, which are designed to meet the particular individual’s needs by the qualified nursing staff.

Romilly’s aim is to provide the highest standard of care, which is addressed through activities created to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem and social interaction with other residents.

The staff have been wonderful caring for my mum. They have offered to take her post and send it and she enjoys the daily conversation with all staff.
The room and bed is always clean and tidy. My mum is treated with dignity and respect.

I am incredibly grateful for the care and kindness the staff have shown my husband since he moved into the home. The staff at the care home are always happy and willing to help, they have a great relationship with the residence from what I see and seem really happy to be working at the care home. The management team take a flexible approach in dealing with families of the residence depending on the special needs
of the person which I feel is a very sensible way to work. If ever we need to ask for an adjustment, the team will do what they can to assist with this. We are never worried about asking for anything. The food always looks good and I feel confident my father is being well looked after and is in safe hands. This gives us all peace of mind!

I have been so impressed with the care home, they look after my mum incredibly well, keep me informed at all times regarding any issues and how she has been doing. The staff have been so welcoming and caring from day one. Always helpful and caring. The peace of mind given cannot be underestimated.

I cannot fault the care and attention my brother has had at Romilly Nursing Home. He was only 65 when he moved in but every effort was made to accommodate him. All the staff are very caring and attentive, when at home he wouldn't eat but since being at the care home he is enjoying the food and has re-gained
his weight. Fabulous team from management to carers.

Generally a warm atmosphere at the Romilly.
Any issues (which generally are minor) are dealt with swiftly.
Home is kept warm and clean.
Very friendly staff.
An excellent service is provided.

My mum has been in Romilly for over 3 years 5 months. I can safely have a holiday and know she's safe and well looked after. She's warm and secure and is happy in her own way. Staff are kind and caring and treat my mum kindly and I have no problems.

My sister has been in the Nursing home since August 2023, it took her a little while to settle but with the help of the staff she settled down, the staff and management team together with the nursing staff and carers. Also with the activities girls, have been most helpful, I have even noticed that the
maintenance team at the home have been very helpful. The home has been constantly cleaned from what I have observed and the food at the home is very good. The laundry has been kept up to date and if anything is needed it gets sorted straight away. The activity girls are always entertaining residents at the home.

My mum has been here since spending two months in hospital. She has received wonderful care since then. The staff cannot do enough for mum and everyone treats her with great care and kindness. I'm so grateful to the team for everything they do.

Friendly, kind and caring staff. Always available to help out. They treat all people with respect and dignity. They make sure residents eat well and maintain a good diet. Always informing me of my nan's progress. The residence is always spotless with strong support with bathrooms. My nan is always dressed

I am a support worker who supports a person who has regular respite care at The Romily. I have noticed a vast improvement there recently since they have employed a new manager. The waiting time to be let into the premises has improved, the lounge area is set out in a much better way, and there seems
to be more continuity with staff members caring for the service user I support, which is something he needs when on respite care. The staff there are all friendly and helpful.

Although Dad has only been in Romily for around 4 weeks, he has really settled. He is cared for, fed well and all-round generally well looked after. All staff are extremely friendly and genuinely care about their residents. Very impressed so far - thank you.
