I cannot praise Romilly enough. Every member of staff goes above and beyond from the cleaners, carers, nursing, kitchen staff, laundry, housekeepers, activities, admin and up to management.
This year was hard putting Mum in for respite as Dad was unwell for it to turn into Mum permanently residing
here and then Dad too.
My mum is like a different woman and it’s like she’s gone back years. She loves the activities and is always looking forward to the entertainment. She smiles now when I visit and she’s always spotless as is her room.
I have turned up in some right states whilst dealing with the emotions around Dad being unwell and then myself mentally and have always been shown kindness. One member of staff even made me a coffee and sat with me and he probably has no idea how much he helped me keep going that day. Thank you so much.

Myself and my sister went to the coffee morning, we met a couple of staff and other family members of residents. The staff were friendly, and helpful and gave us good advice and information. They listen to our needs and any concerns we had. We are happy that our father is being well looked after.
Reply from Arun Patel, Director at Romilly Nursing HomeThank you for your positive feedback. I will be sure to pass on your comments to all the staff and management.

All staff I have spoken to are friendly, and my brother is very happy there as they always call into his room and have a chat, so he is never left alone for too long. He is looked after very well by very caring staff. I cannot fault anything from what I have seen and from what my brother has said. I
rate the staff as excellent. My brother has been in the home for fourteen months.

My mum has been a service user for 7 years. She is bedbound and not once has she had a bedsore. The staff both carers and nurses do a marvellous job. They understand my mum's needs and always make sure she is happy.

Feedback good and bad is very important to use as we strive to do the very best for our service users and families. Kind regards, Director

I visited my sister in June, August and lastest today and I wish to congratulate and express my gratitude to all staff who, in my experience, are dedicated, hard-working and doing excellent work looking after her. It is a very demanding job and still, staff do it with a smile and good attitude.

We are very happy with Romilly Nursing Home.
All the staff are very friendly and work very hard, however, laundry can sometimes go missing even when labelled.
Have to wait for the front door to be answered, can sometimes be a while.
Bell in the room needs to be answered a little quicker.
Management
are approachable and empathetic at all times.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.819) out of 10 for Romilly Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.819 for Romilly Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (255 Excellents x 5) + (52 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 309 Ratings = 4.819
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Romilly Nursing Home is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 registered maximum number of service users is 14.6, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
