My mother lives in the home and the staff are all friendly and look after her very well.
If they ever have any concerns with her health, I am notified right away.

She has a nice room which is kept very clean.

Ever since my first enquiry to Earlsferry House about my Mum, the Manager has been very welcoming and helpful. Mum moved to Earlsferry during the pandemic, and despite the difficulties that were created, the Manager and her staff have treated Mum as if she's one of their own family and Mum even partied with other residents and staff into the wee small hours of New Years Day! Recently, with the restrictions starting to ease, the Manager held a meeting with relatives to thank them for their patience during the restrictions and to outline ideas for new activities and seek views. The residents already have organised activities, and the ideas for further activities and improvements sound very promising. I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is in the best and safest place with people who genuinely care for her. I can't thank everyone in Earlsferry House enough and would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone considering professional care for their loved one.

My experience with the management and staff at Earlsferry House has been nothing short of amazing from the minute my friend arrived there. They have treated her with such dignity and respect but more than that kind and gentle care. The staff are indeed like a family and treat every resident as part of it. The standard of medical care given and overseen by one member of staff, in particular, is beyond professional and her team mirror her standard. The manager is very hands-on and I have yet to find a time when I couldn't speak to them on the family's behalf. Overall these people have a calling and would highly recommend this home and its family to anyone wishing the best for a loved one. I can't thank them enough on behalf of the family and all friends for their continued support.

Can't thank the wonderful staff at Earlsferry House enough for the fantastic care they give my dad. They treat him like a member of their family. He has a great laugh with them, which is very important to me as Dad enjoys the banter. I think they do a great job with managing his illness, Dad can be difficult at times because his MS makes him feel like he is being touched when he isn't and it can make him grumpy but the staff are good at turning things around and making laugh instead. Thank you all for everything you do.

The staff are great with my husband. He was recently moved to a new room upstairs as the manager and the staff felt it would be better for his mental wellbeing as he would have more company. I was skeptical about moving him at first but after visiting I have to say I am very impressed and it just goes to show how well the manager and the staff know him and what's best for the people in their care. Many, many thanks.

Mum has been a resident in Earlsferry House since 2013 following the onset of dementia. There has been a lot of staff changes in that time but there are still a few who remain from when Mum first arrived. There have been some bumpy patches over the years, particularly at the start of Covid but thankfully things seem more settled now. The lift does seem to break down regularly which prevents residents from coming downstairs, which is a shame. The key staff are very kind and caring towards my mum and the rest of our family. They are quick to call if there are any changes in Mum's health or if Mum needs anything and are always quick to do the 6 monthly reviews. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. If there is a special celebration they provide lovely food and decorations. I have peace of mind that Mum is in the best and safest place with people who love her. I can't thank everyone in Earlsferry House enough.

The manager is extremely hardworking, who is doing a great job, especially in the recent difficult circumstances due to Covid. All of the care home staff I have met provide a high standard of care to my mother-in-law and the other residents.
We are always kept informed if there are any issues regarding health problems. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law was ill recently, and the care home staff correctly contacted the local GP and ANP service for clinical backup. This was not provided in a timely manner, and I felt that the GP service had let the home and patient down. However, I did address this with them, and they did eventually see my mother-in-law. I really appreciate the way the manager and the other nursing staff dealt with this difficult event.

My mother-in-law has complex needs following a stroke, diabetes and development of dementia, but I know she feels safe and well cared for, and the staff are very attentive to all her needs.

After 3 years in hospital with dementia, my husband has now spent around the same time in the care home. While the ownership has changed, the staff have always been helpful and considerate to patients and family alike. With great care from the staff most of whom are long-serving, he survived Covid early in the pandemic. Despite restrictions, there were times when we could visit last year, and having a home in lovely surroundings makes the visiting more pleasant. It would be good to see the terrace improvements completed before warmer weather.

Thank you for your kind words. Your husband is a much-loved part of our extended family as are you. You are always cheery and complementary and we love to hear from you. We also appreciate your help with the garden when you visit. We are looking into our terrace area being upgraded in the near future to allow our residents to enjoy the good weather. Hope you are keeping safe and well.

My mum recently spent the last few weeks of her life at Earlsferry Care Home. The management and staff could not have been more helpful. We were delighted with their professionalism, the care my mum received and the genuine feelings they expressed to myself and my sister. The home is in a beautiful position overlooking gardens and the sea. The rooms are of a very good size, well decorated and kept spotless. All steps had been taken to keep the site covid secure. Would without hesitation recommend this care home.

Thank you to all the management and staff.

We first visited Earlsferry in November 2017 as I was looking for a nursing home for my husband who has Parkinson's and had been in the hospital. The welcome we received was most reassuring and supportive as it was a huge change to our lives.

All our questions were answered and we went on the waiting list. A room became available in January 2018 and my husbands care plan was swiftly put in place and added to our first couple of weeks. We were encouraged to ask questions and highlight any concerns. We met the GP and other specialists within the 1st three weeks (e.g. podiatry and speech therapists).
