My father spent a relatively short time under the care of the team at Tyneholm Stables - four months, however, there is only one word to describe the care he received, exceptional! The team there looked after my father with care, compassion and love from the minute he arrived until he passed away. Everyone was so kind and I know my father appreciated the care and attention he received. Nothing was too much trouble and I will be eternally grateful to all of the team there for making my father's final few months happy, comfortable and dignified.

My mum was in the care home during the lockdown. This was a very difficult time for all. Everyone in the home tried to make things as easy as possible and tried to accommodate you where possible. My mum always reassured me she was being well looked after and everyone was nice to her. She was happy in her surroundings. This was a great comfort to me. Window visits, tent visits and pod visits became the norm. Mum was a very fussy eater, and they make her special meals to suit her taste.

Anyone who has to make the difficult decision of putting a family member into a care home... look no further. The team here are fantastic! We recently had to make the tough decision to put my gran into a home. We searched high and low, which was a nightmare in the current climate. I spoke to the manager who had me sold from day one. She really understands what you are going through, and takes the time to explain everything to you and even helps explain the process you go through with the care worker. Her team are superb! From the lady who works in the office to the carers, they go over and above to ensure that the best care is given to gran; they treat her like a person and not just a number. They do everything they can to make sure you get window visits keeping gran and the residents safe. They communicate brilliantly, and the weekly newsletter of what the residents have been up to each week is a great read! Thank you all for helping gran settle in!

Tyneholm agreed to take my mother at very short notice after other homes were reluctant. This last year has been extremely difficult for them and all their residents as well as for relatives. They have coped with everything with professional flexibility and good humour as well as genuine compassion.

My mother is content and well looked after and has been so much more relaxed since she moved in after a terrible year previously of ever-increasing anxiety.

I am hugely grateful to all the staff for their care. They are always ready to talk to me about any concerns and have genuinely got to know my mother and made her feel part of a safe and kind community.

Since moving into Tyneholm Stables my Mum has had the very best of care. As a family, it was a very difficult decision for us all but has been the best decision for all of us. The staff is caring, pleasant, and attentive and nursing staff excellent. During the last difficult few months, we have been kept informed of what thas been happening and decisions made. We would like to applaud all at Tyneholm Stables for taking care of our Mum under very difficult and stressful circumstances.

Wonderful, caring staff, very clean home, smell fresh and aired. Redecorated in the past year. Very cheerful residents and staff. Staff always have time to chat with me if I have any concerns about my mum; I just have to ask. I'm well informed about mums health issues. During Covid-19 pandemic, I have telephone calls, newsletters and emails about my mum and what residents have been up too. I've even had a visit via the window to see my mum, which has been helpful and grateful to the home staff for allowing. The home has a wonderful feeling of care any time I've visited. I would recommend this home 100%.

The care home has a real home from home feel with staff going above and beyond to make the residents feel special regardless of their day to day needs. Even under the current Covid-19 situation, there is varied entertainment every day to keep the residents active.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Tyneholm to anyone I know who has a relative going into care.

The staff show real care and affection for the residents and there is a feel-good factor about Tyneholm when I go in to visit my Dad.

My sister is well cared for in a pleasing environment by cheerful and care workers.

The home keeps me well-informed about minor incidents or accidents which involve her but which don't particularly upset her since she quickly forgets about them.
