My mum has been in Belleville for nearly 3 years now. She is well cared for and the staff make sure that she feels well cared for. Her personal demands are catered for- the way she wants her hair brushed, what colour she wants to wear, what she does and doesn't want to eat- things that are so important in helping my mum remain as much as she can be in control of her life.
It's a friendly, happy environment. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient.

As a family, we know that this is the perfect place for mum.

mum has lived at Bellville since june 2024 and has settled in well mainly due to the warm, welcoming

caring atmosphere created by all the staff team .Mum has formed good relationships with many of the team all of whom seem to genuinely care for their residents . Staff team are great at keeping me informed of any health issues and the 24-hour nursing care as well as access to the local GP and Advanced Practitioner Nurse is very reassuring. Mums room is lovely and she has been able to bring many of her own small pieces of furniture/pictures etc... the home and garden are well maintained and the garden especially is a great place to spend time outside . From the very first visit i have to say that I have felt very supported by the Manager and no request has been a problem . Thank you Belleville lodge for making a difficult transition so much easier !

This is the second review that I have submitted on behalf of my sister and me. Our Mum has now been in Belleville Lodge for 5 years and we are still very pleased with the care provided.
The home is kept spotlessly clean and has been redecorated recently which has provided a more modern touch. More importantly the residents are immaculately dressed.
The manager provides a great example to the staff and is hands-on when needed.
Everyone who works at Belleville seems to care genuinely about the residents.
The carers are very attentive and are really cater to individual needs. The staff turnover is relatively low and this helps to build meaningful relationships. The nursing staff ensure that any medical needs are dealt with, preventing serious illnesses. This is particularly important and the relationships with the external medical practices seem strong.

The activities co-ordinators do a very good job in providing things to do in the home and arranging visits outside where possible.

Very happy with Bellville Lodge. The standard for everything is very high. The staff are brilliant and try their best include my mum in all of the activities. Management is great and nothing is too much trouble. I am happy in the knowledge that my mum is being well cared for and I don't need to worry about anything. I am unable to comment on food and drink as mum has her own tube feed, but I am sure this will be in keeping with the high standards provided for everything else.

My Mum moved into Belleville Lodge Nursing Home in 2023. She is now settled and loves the building, her room and the staff are all wonderful and very caring, food is exceptional.
Mum loves looking out into both the front and rear gardens, which are beautiful and well-kept. On a nice afternoon, some of the residents are to be found in the garden with coffee/tea and cake.
Her health has improved since being in the care of Belleville.
Activities are organised, but I would like to see a few more being organised, I do think that actual games/activities should be organised 7 days a week (in the morning and afternoon).
One staff member is very supportive and has regularly gone the extra mile with my Mum when she is having a bad day. All the staff are very approachable and definitely want the best for the residents.

The first time I visited Belleville Lodge, both my cousin and I felt like we were being embraced in a warm cuddle. That feeling has never diminished.

Overall Experience

Mum has been at Belleville Lodge for nearly 6 months. The building and gardens are lovely and it is in a very peaceful part of town. She settled in quickly despite having lots of reservations about leaving her own home. The manager and the team create a very warm and caring atmosphere and I can be confident that Mum is being well looked after. Staff are great at keeping me informed of any health issues and the 24-hour nursing care as well as access to the local GP and Advanced Practitioner Nurse is very reassuring. The activities coordinators arrange lots of appropriate and stimulating events for the residents. Family members are always made to feel welcome and are invited to join in. The staff are all very friendly and there is a low turnover of staff meaning that Mum has been able to get to know them and to build up relationships. Staff have all got a very good 'handle' on Mum and her likes and dislikes and they are able to meet her individual support and care needs.

Overall Experience

I find the staff and manager to be very welcoming supportive and friendly to myself and other family or friends who visit my relative. Staff show compassion, empathy, and an interest in their resident's lives. They treat my relative with respect, and over the last few months, they know who she is and what her likes and dislikes are and always try to include her in planned activities, where she often takes part indirectly away from the main group this is where she feels safe. She is very relaxed around the staff and she likes to give them cuddles as well as receiving them back from the staff members. My partner and I can now feel supported in knowing she is safe. I find the manager very supportive and will always be available to have a general chat or to answer questions, as well as all the staff she manages. We always receive a phone call if our relative has been unwell.

Overall Experience
The manager and her team are very caring, professional and hard-working.
My mother was always very reluctant to go into a care home but after losing her husband of sixty-seven years and contracting dementia, it was obvious she needed more care.
After looking at several care homes, we looked at Belleville Lodge and as soon as we entered, we could sense this was the place for our mum.
Mum settled with the care of the manager and staff almost instantly, this made a hard decision for our family so much easier. A few months on and Mum loves the staff and made friends with other residents.

I would highly recommend, this is a safe, friendly, clean and well cared for environment for our elderly loved ones.
