The management team within Struan Lodge focus solely on the care delivery and well being of its residents on a day to day basis. Care is delivered to a high standard and this is reflected in the positive comments made by family members and those residing in the home. Fees and costings are under the control of the business directors in head office who advise family members to contact them directly if they have any questions or comments, however, the Struan Lodge management team have an open-door policy and welcome visitors too. It should be noted that Struan Lodge is one of the less expensive private care homes in Edinburgh and we believe for the service we provide, we are fairly priced.

I joined Struan Lodge in 2025 as the home manager.
I am an experienced care home manager with an SQA award in leadership and management. I am a registered adult nurse. I completed my BN Adult Nursing at Edinburgh Napier University. After I qualified, I took a post within the NHS; however, I came back to care homes as that is where my heart is.

I enjoy working in care and helping people. I have continued with my studies and am working my way to provide more advanced care and nursing.
George is Struan Lodge's Clinical Lead Nurse. George heads up the nursing team, ensuring all clinical aspects in the home are overseen alongside the management team.

I am the point of contact for administration in the home – the paperwork ! I have worked in Social Care for a few years now and I like Struan Lodge as it is a very much a “home from home” environment and the smaller setting feels more personal.
I provide the Maintenance for the property and my main responsibilities are the health and safety of our residents and staff alike. I have a keen eye and attention to detail that I have gained during my years as a stonemason.
David is the head chef at Struan Lodge. David cooks up a wide variety of delicious home cooked meals for the residents and consults with residents on menus to ensure all tastes are catered for.
