Newark Care Home

I'm very pleased with the care being provided for my wife by all of the staff. All of the staff demonstrate a kindness and caring to all of the residents. The home is maintained to a high level of cleanliness

Good impression of care, can only give an opinion based on a) personal observation and b) comments from user (my brother). c) fabric of the building and rooms. a) my personal observations are standard of care and quality of stuff is very good, Staff are very attentive/committed to doing their best for the users. b) according to comments from my brother daytime staff are "on the ball" but nighttimes to him it seems to take "an age" for staff to respond to requests for help. c) in general the fabric of the building is fine but based on the room my brother is in (not having seen any others) the decor is a bit tired.

I know all the staff and they know me and my Dad so the communication is good and we can talk to them anytime .

Staff do their best during the day. Could do with more staff at nighttime. Sometimes buzzer not answered for a while.

I am happy enough with my mother's care. I understand the difficulties of caring for clients with varying degrees of problems. All in all everything is acceptable.

The room is clean and tidy, the food is rich and delicious, the staff is nice and friendly. High-quality monitoring of the disease, deal emergencies on time, and protecting the lives of residents

Early days, Dad has dementia and settling in will take time, we will get there, staff are understanding and helpful.

Mum likes interacting with the staff and finds them to be hard working and engaged with their duties.

My dad has lived in Newark for almost a year. I visit him regularly and have no complaints about the care he receives. Newark is a calm, friendly and welcoming place. The staff are all hard working, friendly and caring and Im able to approach any staff member there with any questions I have and feel listened to. The staff know my dad well and the best way to work with him. The home is very clean and well looked after. I am so thankful for Newark and all staff that work there, I can go to work now and know that my dad is safe.

We have traveled from Wales (me,my wife and daughter) to visit a relative in this wonderful care facility. The staff we have come across have been professional positive and above all friendly to residents and us as visitors alike. We have visited twice a day for 5 days and have received a warm welcome and it is reassuring that our auntie is receiving excellent care many thanks.

Newark Care cared for my mum for the last few months of her life. The staff were forever helpful and considerate and during the pandemic adhering to rules but creating a home family environment and became family to my mum when we were not able to physically get in there to see her. My mum, being a local lady, we feel could converse with the cheery staff and made her time there most comfortable. The staff there must be under extreme pressure in these times, and I will be forever grateful for their kindness to my mum and to us the family on the outside.

The home is very good to everyone and is as near to home as possible. All the staff are called by their first names.

As my mum's dementia gets worse, she is now significantly more reliant on all the staff in the facility, but I find that she is still treated with the dignity, compassion and kindness that I would always wish for her. All staff, including management and carers engage with her, making her days so comfortable and happy as they can. Staff are interactive and supportive of my mum and keep myself informed of any issues that may arise. I am grateful for their care, help and attention to my mum's well being.

I got a call to say mum was being taken to hospital late one night. The carer from Newark went with mum and did a great job in looking after her even though I was at the hospital too, she did a good job, very professional.

I find the staff very approachable to talk to about things. I know my mother is safe and protected by staff in the care home. The staff know my mother's likes and dislikes and respect these. The staff treat my mother with the utmost dignity and respect. The staff keep me updated with all aspects of Mum's ongoing care.

All the staff, carers and manager have been good with my late mum and dad's care. I could not have asked for any more.

As my mother-in-law's vascular dementia progresses, it became impossible for her to remain in her own home. Newark Care home has provided her with the level of care she requires in a safe and well-maintained environment. From the management and staff at every level, she has been treated with kindness and respect, doing their utmost to maintain her dignity. They have also been a great support to the family. I am grateful for all they have done and continue to do and would highly recommend Neward to others.
