Springboig Care Home provides high-quality care and support in a purpose-built building located in the north-east of Glasgow, they are convenient for shops, amenities, public transport and motorway links. The provider is Care Homes (Scotland) Ltd and the service has been registered with the Care Inspectorate since April 2007.

Opened in 2007, Springboig Care Centre offers residents individual bedrooms with full en-suite facilities, and there are communal lounges for quiet sitting and separate dining rooms within each of the units where residents can socialise at meal times. There is a garden area to the rear of the home for residents who wish to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. They offer on-site care parking facilities and have a number of seating benches for visitors.

While some staff were caring, senior staff and management showed a consistent failure to take accountability. We raised formal concerns, and 5 of 6 were upheld by the Care Inspectorate. Their findings identified that guidance from health professionals was not followed, with staff and management choosing
not to implement recommended strategies or seek review. Despite this, we were repeatedly assured these were in place.


This led to poor management of distress and avoidable escalation. The CI also found records were inaccurate, communication was inconsistent, and we were not always informed of significant incidents. When concerns were raised, responses from the manager were defensive and at times felt intimidatory. Since leaving and receiving care elsewhere, with the same strategies now implemented, my father is happy, safe, and no longer distressed. We also experienced multiple instances of overcharging - families should check invoices carefully.

My husband was admitted from GRI on 12/12/2025 The care is evident from the minute you step through the door. My husband had COPD and took a chest infection I was informed at once and spoke to his new GP sadly this turned into Pneumonia and I was given the option to have him return to GRI or nursed
in the home no choice. My thoughts were considered always. The staff cared for him with gentle love understanding and with dignity as he turned to end of life care I was allowed to stay with him. I was given a recliner chair and taken care of as well as my husband numerous cups of tea coffee soup sandwiches and compassion.
My husband was repositioned every 2 hours and was washed changed as was the bedding He had mouth care skin care. The staff are a credit to Springboig Care Centre From night manager night staff and all day staff who made this so much easier for us both. Thank You one and All.

My mum was admitted to Springboig Care Home in September after leaving a previous home where she had been badly neglected. The difference in care has been unbelievable. The staff at Springboig are genuinely amazing-kind, attentive, and committed to her well-being. Her personal care is now handled with
real dignity. She's even getting involved in the dining hall again, which we never thought we'd see. When the staff say they will do something-whether it's getting a doctor, getting her up to her chair-they actually follow through. The communication is excellent; nurses and carers keep us fully informed about her progress. After everything she's been through, this place has been a complete breath of fresh air. A truly wonderful home providing the care she deserves.

I want to express my gratitude to all the staff in the care home including those who tended to my mother. I want to express sincere thanks to the home manager for the support given to my mum and myself with such difficult circumstances I can't not put into words what you done for us and to keep my mum
safe.
How you all welcome and accommodated my siblings coming from abroad and for the care shown to both my mum and us at her end of life the dignity and respect she was shown was impeccable.
The care staff are invaluable my mum was fond of many, the unit manager and night staff also even the cleaning staff had a bond with mum. Myself and my partner cannot thank all of you enough for being there. We know you do this everyday but everything you done was very much person centered.

My sister has recently moved to Springboig from another home. She has settled in really well, much quicker and better than we expected, given the many years she spent in the previous care home. We can't thank the dedicated staff in Allander enough for the support they have given her and us in helping
her to settle and feel at home. The care she receives is excellent and they do everything they can to communicate with her and with us and involve us in her care and wellbeing. The home is clean and well-run and the facilities are good. The management and staff are very friendly and welcoming and the home has a lovely atmosphere. We would recommend Springboig Care Centre to anyone looking for a care home for their family.

My father has been a resident at Springboig Care Centre since 2019. Throughout the pandemic (COVID-19) the care home were there for the residents. They have a special bond with each other. My father is very unwell, and his dementia has taken away a lot of characteristics that made up his personality.
These characteristics are significantly more present when he interacts with the great staff at Springboig Care Centre. Since the new manager has started, the care home has become even better. I am very grateful as I'm sure other families are of the past, present and future dedication that the manager and the Springboig Care home staff do, every day, all day.

My gran has had great care since she became resident at Springboig. The staff are are all very helpful and friendly, there is lots of activities on offer, special events and a hairdresser which my gran uses weekly. The new female manager in particular has gone above and beyond to support us with social
work in getting my gran the best care that meets her needs.

My brother has been a resident since February and has settled in very well. I am very happy with the care he receives and knowing all his needs are being met. The staff are always very friendly and at hand to answer any questions I have. It's nice to see the staff sit and engage with the residents.

My in-laws went in for a week of respite. They absolutely loved their time here. The staff went above and beyond to make them feel at home and took amazing care of both of them. The food was very good as well. They would love to go back anytime to stay. Thank you, everyone, for taking such good care

My mum's quality of life since moving into the care home has hugely improved because of the care and support she receives. She is happier, much more content and all the signs of agitation have gone. All the staff are so kind and have a great understanding of my mum's needs. They are great at keeping
me informed of the care she is receiving and even simple things like asking how she would like her hair cut. The staff also make family and visitors very welcome. It's a pleasure to visit and see all the interaction between staff and residents, a lovely homely, family feel. My mum has grown very fond of the staff, and her personal care/hygiene care is great. My mum is also on a special diet and struggles to swallow. The staff have done a great job in encouraging her to eat. I would not hesitate to recommend the home; it is welcoming, homely and full of very caring staff. Thanks to everyone.

I had to put my elderly father into a care home due to various health conditions. I went through an extremely stressful and sad time during this transition. My initial experience with a different care home for my father made this worse. The staff and management at Springboig made this transition easier,
which really helped me. Both the original manager I dealt with and the new manager are very nice and caring. The staff are great, try to help and are very friendly. I'd like to see more activities involving residents on the social media page. It's nice to know about activities, even if your relative chooses not to participate. The staff and management are great and want the best for the residents.
My only issue is the difference in cost between self-funded places and the council rate, the difference is too high, and I cannot see the justification for this. It runs through a relative's savings far quicker than it otherwise would which places earlier strain on the government.

Before admission, my mum was completely bed-bound with minimal interaction with others. The staff at Springboig are getting her out of bed and including her in activities with the home. They are looking after her so well in every way possible, and she is treated with the greatest respect. Thank you

Absolutely the best experience we could ever have hoped for. Nana was well looked after. We were nervous about leaving her but were reassured when we met all of the staff who would be looking after her. Nana enjoyed her week's respite, had new stories to tell and enjoyed activities too. The manager
went above and beyond when helping us to move nana back and forth to home. Was available at short notice, very warm, friendly and approachable.

I have noticed a huge positive change in my brother since arriving at the home. He is much more happy and more content, which is a testament to the staff at the home. All the staff have been welcoming, helpful and attentive. The manager is very approachable, very hands-on, involved and happy to answer
questions. I am very happy with the level of service provided.
