Glebe House Care Home

My fiancée has settled into Glebe House really well and I'm very happy with the care she receives. She has complex care needs but, the staff support her with kindness, patience and compassion.

From day one, everyone has been friendly, welcoming and caring, making what could have been a difficult transition much easier. There's a lovely atmosphere throughout the home and it's reassuring to know she's in such good hands, especially as I live further away and can't be with her more often.

She enjoys taking part in the activities and social events, which have helped her build new friendships and continue enjoying life. Thank you to everyone at Glebe House for the wonderful care and support.

My aunt has been looked after, been safe and her wellbeing cared for. Communication has been excellent from the team here, supported by the GP. I couldn't have done without them.

Glebe House looks after both my mum and dad. They are well looked after and staff care about all the residents. Lots of activities that mum and dad would not be able to access without being in the Glebe care home. I don't live close by and I now have peace of mind that they are getting great support.

We have nothing but praise for Glebe house. Without their care and compassion, our mum wouldn't be with us anymore. She is a different woman since coming in to live, every member of the team has treated her with such kindness we are truly grateful for everything that they do for her i live 260 miles away and it would make our lives easier to move her down to us but we would never consider it, the travelling to see her is s small price to pay knowing she is settled and she is well looked after, I wish I could give the staff 10 points, I'm a nurse of over 35 years and I can recognise good nursing care when I see it, I can not recommend Glebe house highly enough

I can only sing the praises of all the staff from the very first day to the present. Helpful, friendly and professional. The atmosphere is always excellent. I don't think I can say a bad word about anyone in the home .

I experience a warmth of kindness and a feeling of care and friendship whenever I go to visit my husband. The staff are so lovely and very hardworking. One lady is a joy to meet, she is one special lady. The Glebe House is not a fancy home but more importantly a friendly home. My husband has come on wonderfully well and is much happier. I love the staff, they smile and work very hard.

This was the second time that we have used this care home and could not find any faults with it. My husband was treated with respect and kindness. Staff do an incredible job and I would thoroughly recommend Glebe House Care Home to anyone looking for some much-needed respite.

My mum was brought into the care home on 4/1/24 and the management and staff have been first-class helping her to settle in. They have also been excellent to myself and other family members when visiting Mum. Mum is a different person since she was admitted which a lot of is down to the stimulation she gets from activities and the company. This allows me to be her daughter again which is priceless. I cannot praise everyone enough for their hard work and dedication.

When my parents moved to the care home I was worried about how they would settle but the staff have been amazing. Both are happy, well cared for, and enjoy the various activities that are arranged for them.

My dad was admitted to Glebe House before I had a chance to visit the home, at a very stressful time for our family. The staff have been very reassuring, and extremely helpful and when I visit my dad, I am made to feel welcome. Glebe House is busy and has a lovely atmosphere which is friendly and caring. My dad is settling and I feel confident that his needs are being met, and he is being treated with dignity and care. Every member of staff I have met has been approachable and caring. Thank you.

I am concerned with the fact that my brother's laundry items are lost or missing. His wardrobe has 22 hangers for shirts/t-shirts and jumpers. Today (27th February 2024) there are 9 empty hangers, meaning that many items are missing. I have raised this matter several times in the past 2-3 years. There is obviously a problem in this aspect of his care. Please attend to this matter ASAP. Thanks.

The Glebe House Care Home has been amazing from the start. From management meeting the family to keeping us informed all the way. The resident has been quite difficult due to her illness and the staff have been fantastic in assisting to her needs. I would like to thank them all for providing the services given to not only the resident but family too when visits have been upsetting.

Been here over six/seven weeks and had respect and great care. Staff and managers did their utmost to help with all my health issues. Been in many places all my life, here I feel safe and started to be happier. Still get to do things I'm used to, but it's first time never been judged. Highly recommended. I am only 44, but all residents lovely, staff great.

My husband has been here for over a year and has dementia. He has received excellent care, the staff are so kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone. The manager is very approachable, helpful and kind along with all members of staff.

Mum and dad have only been in the home a short term, but the care and respect to them have been great. When phoning to ask about them, the staff are only too willing to keep me informed about their general health and daily activities. In this hard time with Covid, the staff are doing an excellent job looking after both of them.

I've been here for five years and with support from the team, I will be moving into my own flat in the next few months.
