Overall Experience

Staff are friendly and helpful and chief nurse is knowledgeable and hardworking. There seems to be a good variety of appropriate food and appears to be of good quality. An effort is made to decorate the dining room and take residents down or outside in wheelchairs if needed. There is some encouragement of taking part in activities although I haven't witnessed any activities taking place on my visits. An information booklet for relatives would be helpful to explain how the everyday running of the home and what to provide for your family member.

Overall Experience
Residents bored and isolated as there is no stimulation whatsoever. Home in need of an update. Outside area poorly kept and you drive up to a skip whenever you arrive. Pull light over sink broken for 6 months, room sicky and smelly.

Food poor quality and monotonous. Shared bathrooms need electronic deodoriser, can be quite smelly. Window box stolen from room, no action taken.

My experience in the short time since my father took up residency in Abbeylands has been simply wonderful. My father's fear living on his own with his medical conditions has simply disappeared due to the care being provided in the home. My father now has the reassurance he desperately needed. Every member of staff from his medical needs, comfort and companionship is top quality service. My father loves the staff and how they treat him with love and respect. I could ask no more from the professionalism of staff. Thank you.

I visit several homes of ladies who I know from church and I always say that Abbeylands Care Home has the most caring staff. From the secretary who goes above and beyond, to the ground staff/janitors, laundry lady, entertainment, cleaners, carers, nurses and management, this home has gone above and beyond, a great staff. I am very confident of the care my friend gets and I highly recommend this home.

Abbeylands Care Home is a very caring and efficiently run home. I find the facilities excellent, clean and orderly. The staff are the most caring individuals whom I have built a relationship with over the last two years visiting my uncle. He is happy there and well cared for. The staff are wonderful, down through nursing, carers and domestic. Well done Abbeylands for a sterling service to our older members of society and their families, congratulations.

Mum has only been here for 3 months and such an amazing experience.

Mum has been in care since January 2021, and in Abbeylands is the first time outdoors in 3 years. The staff, our friendly and helpful nurses, carers - even down to maintenance staff. Big improvement in Mum. All the organised events are amazing, even down to people's birthdays.

I am deeply indebted to the team of care workers who look after my mum on a daily basis. The tender loving care she receives is second to none. I can relax knowing that my dear Mum is in the very best hands possible.

Overall Experience
My brother in law was resident in this care home 2017/18.
Staff were very attentive and understanding.

Home was clean and presentable, manager and support staff very professional, compared to other care homes in area.
