This purpose built home provides residential and nursing care in a selection of differing rooms and separate wings. Respite or short stay care is also offered, enabling those who are in need of a break the knowledge and reassurance their loved one is being cared for in a safe, friendly environment.
Accommodation at Abbeylands is offered in single occupancy rooms, some of which have en-suite facilities. Some rooms are spacious enough for sharing.
Abbeylands features TV lounges and several quiet sitting rooms, all overlooking the extensive private grounds, for relaxation. Separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times, are also offered. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served with choices being available daily. Special diets can be catered for. The home also has extensive patio areas with uninterrupted views of Belfast Lough.
Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and qualified chiropodist.
The home employs an activities therapist that coordinates a varied programme including a range of entertainment, arts and crafts, outings and themed celebrations across the major holidays.
