My dad was only there a short while but the care he received was amazing they couldn't do enough for him or use. It made us as a family at ease to leave him in there care an that means a lot. Very hard working. They have a lot to do personally. I could not do it. We could not thank them enough.

The staff and manager were very attentive to my wife and looked after her very well. They were also very friendly and helpful to me and fed me on many occasions when I stayed over dinner time. On the day my wife passed, the staff were all very caring and respectful of Kay and our family.

Comber Care Home

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My aunt found it extremely challenging being in a nursing home due to the lack of independence she was experiencing. The staff did their best to care for her and support her needs. However, my aunt was a strict vegetarian, the home were generally unable to provide suitable meals for her. We discovered
that a product classified as 'ice cream' contained pork gelatine. This was very inappropriate for her. We had to buy the majority of her main meals.

Arches Care Home

from Bernard B (Brother of Resident) published on 5 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
This is truly an EXCELLENT care home. The care for my brother is exemplary/ The staff are caring and understanding. The Arches is completely resident-centred. The organise days out for individual residents. There are birthday parties in the rec room. All the staff are involved in residents' care. The
cleaning and laundry staff know everyone by name and are heavily involved in their day-to-day care. The nurses are exemplary. Recently, a sensory room has been opened. I am delighted with the 5-star level of care in this home.

Tudordale Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our mum was extremely well cared for in Tudordale Care home. We found all staff to be friendly, helpful, courteous and respectful. We were always kept informed of ongoing health issues in a timely manner. This goes for all nursing staff but the manager and deputy manager always advocated for my mum,
ensuring she got the specific care she needed. They always tried to ensure my mum was happy with her 1-1 carer and stirred to maintain continuity. I can't praise the staff enough for their kindness and understanding in managing my mums episodal challenging behaviours. In the end Tudordale was like a second family.

Residents bored and isolated as there is no stimulation whatsoever. Home in need of an update. Outside area poorly kept and you drive up to a skip whenever you arrive. Pull light over sink broken for 6 months, room sicky and smelly.
Food poor quality and monotonous. Shared bathrooms need electronic
deodoriser, can be quite smelly. Window box stolen from room, no action taken.

We honestly couldn't ask for better care for our dad. He's in the early stages of dementia which can make things harder has he'd still very aware of whats going on, but the staff have been amazing with him. He came straight from hospital into care home so the transition wasn't easy but they've supported
him (as us) every step of the way. The staff are also accommodating not just to dad but to us as a family. They're always there when needed especially if he's feeling stressed or anxious and they handle everything with so much patience and kindness. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Everyone is so friendly, approachable and helpful, we are very grateful for everything you do.

My dad had moved into Bangor care home EMI unit at near the end of August 2025 from another care home he was recently in. Me and my mum found that my dad and her husband was really happy in the home and settled in straight away, all the care staff were amazing and kept my daddy cleaned and tidy every
time I went up to see him. The nurses as well are fantastic and was always up to date with everything that was going on with his health and if he had any accidents. Me and my mum were overall very happy with the whole experience of the home that my daddy was in until his final days.

My dad was at LICC from the 10th Dec 2025 until the 10th April 2026 when he passed away. In the time he was there he was shown care, compassion, kindness and respect. The staff were all like family in the way they treated a very ill person who was so important to me. These folk care.

Positives: A nice setting, a friendly cat who visits residents, nursing and caring staff are lovely.
Negatives: Manager is probably a good manager but lacks people skills and upset my parents on multiple occasions. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this is important if people are considering
this nursing home for their loved ones.

Balmoral View Care Centre

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was in Balmoral View Care Home for 15 weeks before she passed. It is a challenging decision to place a parent in a home but her dementia demanded an increasing level of care. We were anxious about the decision but relaxed straight away when we met the staff and saw the facilities. The dementia
unit is small, cosy and secure. The atmosphere is relaxed, creating a homely environment. We were immediately impressed by the personable level of care, particularity by the head nurse. Communication with us was always excellent. Staff are diligent, caring, friendly and went to great lengths to connect with mum and the other residents. Mum liked all the staff and felt comfortable with them. We were welcome to come and go anytime and we always found mum being well cared for. A number of the staff have been there a long time which adds to the stability. The mature grounds are lovely and tranquil and the home is easy to get to. We are so grateful to have found this gentle place for mum.

I highly recommend this home. The care my uncle got was amazing, the work that the staff provided was so professional and caring . The home itself is spotless and has beautiful gardens. The food was so good and whatever you wanted they made it, which my uncle loved, with endless cups of tea coffee.
I would like to thank all the staff for his care and also how supportive they were with myself and family on the day that he past. He was in the best hands ever.
