Manor View Care Home

My husband has been a resident in Manor View since May 2026. I have found the staff to be attentive & caring to David's needs. He is clean, well dressed & well fed. He knows all the staff & has good relationships. The family receives updates of his progress in settling in to his new surroundings. Hairdresser, and podiatrist have visited. A good range of activities of music, painting, pottery, cinema club. A special fuss made of him on his recent birthday room decorated for his family party. David's family are happy with his day to day care and commend the hardworking, patient & considerate staff team.

My mum has been in Manor View care home since July 2026, and I'm very pleased with the level of care and attention that she receives. It's clear to see that the nursing staff take a dedicated and real interest in the well-being of the patients there. In particular, Emmanuel, the manager, is a true professional and great guy. He and the nurses have been very helpful and caring to Mum since mum arrived. This gives a strong level of reassurance to me and my brothers.

My stepmother has been well looked after over the last 9 years.

Our mother has been in Manor View for 6 years now and we as a family are delighted with her care.The staff go over and beyond for the residence and communication with us is excellent.

My dad had moved into Bangor care home EMI unit at near the end of August 2025 from another care home he was recently in. Me and my mum found that my dad and her husband was really happy in the home and settled in straight away, all the care staff were amazing and kept my daddy cleaned and tidy every time I went up to see him. The nurses as well are fantastic and was always up to date with everything that was going on with his health and if he had any accidents. Me and my mum were overall very happy with the whole experience of the home that my daddy was in until his final days.

My mum is so well cared for by all the staff in manor view care Bangor. They take their time with her and she is always well presented and clean. The staff are all so friendly and supportive to my family and myself. I couldn't wish for better care of my mum.

My mum has been in this care home for nearly 3 years. She has been very well looked after by all the staff, who also keep in good contact with the family.

My husband's dementia went into a rapid, downward spiral towards the end of October 2025. For over a year, my objective had been to keep him safe, well, happy and at home. By October, despite his daughter and son-in-law putting their lives on hold and moving in with us, it became all too apparent that this was no longer viable. We had been supported by my Minister and our GP throughout. Following hospitalisation and stabilisation, a room was made available at Manor View. As soon as I heard the news, I rang and asked if I could call and see where he would be staying. We live in the Bangor area, so I was able to call right away. The first thing that struck me was that I was welcomed warmly and given a tour of the suite where my husband would be staying. After such a drastic change in his life, his arrival in Manor View was like the sun coming out after a period of darkness. His care is exemplary, the staff are wonderful. Above all, my husband is happy.

My mother been here since march . Happy with the care and very settled. Relaxed home . Staff very friendly and helpful .food could be better so meals not very healthy. Bedroom and dining room clean and tidy . Always clean and tidy

I have an Aunt Uncle in manor View. The staff are friendly and very caring. The food is so delicious. My Aunt came from hospital after a botched hip operation. When she moved to the Home it was classed as comfort care but the care and attention she has received is second to none. She has progressed from puréed food (Level 4) to Level 7. My Uncle is enjoying the food too and very happy and settled. I am delighted they are in Manor View.

I am very happy with the care and attention given to my mother. The nursing staff are very good. My mother has been bed-ridden for over 4 years and during this time she has had great skincare and only one case of a pressure sore. I think this is exceptional. The home always contacts us regarding any changes in her medication, habits or eating changes. My only negative comment is in relation to the decor, it is dated and while it is always kept clean, the home could benefit from a refresh. This is something the board should consider.

I am very pleased with the care and attention my mother receives from each and every member of staff. All the staff are so lovely and are very approachable at all times. I have nothing but praise for all of them from nursing, admin and domestic staff.

My husband has been in the transitional unit since 16/07/24 and is being treated with care and dignity by all the staff. He has a carer with him 24/7 and they are very respectful and treat him with dignity and care. The management are very involved with the residents and I have been kept up to date with my husband's day-to-day situation. I can recommend this unit highly as dementia is so unpredictable and the staff do their job with love and care.

Everyone made his time there easier for him to settle.

Whilst I am sure that the majority of staff were kind and caring the staffing levels and the necessary procedures were just not there.

My dad is a current resident of Bangor Care Home. He has dementia and finds verbal communication difficult these days. Myself and other family members visit regularly and have always found Dad to be clean, tidy, appropriately dressed and happy to see us. He appears to have a good relationship with the nurses and care staff. No matter which member of staff we speak to, they all seem to be up to date with his current needs. Staff are always courteous, well-informed, pleasant to deal with and happy to help with any suggestions. As a family, we are very happy with the levels of care provided to Dad. The home environment is always clean and tidy, decor and the garden could benefit from updating and that is the only reason for four rather than five stars. No one wants to watch their relatives decline to the point of needing 24-hour specialist nursing care and we are very grateful to the current staff for their kindness, compassion and knowledgeable care in sometimes challenging circumstances.

I called yesterday to visit a friend and I would just like to say thank you for the wonderful care you are giving him, the home and staff were very welcoming and excellent PPE practice. Well done to all!

My mother passed away recently in Bangor Care Home, and I wanted to say how much I appreciated the professionalism and compassion of the staff. The care and attention my Mum received in Bangor was remarkable. She couldn’t have have been in better hands. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the workers at Bangor Care Home for the care and kindness they showed both me and my Mum. I’ll always be grateful for this. The final question in the questionnaire below asks about "value for money". I honestly don't know how you put a price on human care, and comfort, and dignity in old age. There is no market value or monetary measurement that can stand in for a care worker sitting by your Mum's bed, comforting her at the end of her life. It's as immeasurable as it is priceless. Thank you.
