Arches Care Home

This is truly an EXCELLENT care home. The care for my brother is exemplary/ The staff are caring and understanding. The Arches is completely resident-centred. The organise days out for individual residents. There are birthday parties in the rec room. All the staff are involved in residents' care. The cleaning and laundry staff know everyone by name and are heavily involved in their day-to-day care. The nurses are exemplary. Recently, a sensory room has been opened. I am delighted with the 5-star level of care in this home.

My brother has been well cared for in The Arches Care Home since the home opened more than 25 years ago. The staff are wonderful; they look after him so well despite the fact that he is non-verbal.

The care my aunt recieved was outstanding absolutely fantastic the staff went above and beyond in every way possible not just for my aunt but also for us as a family could not fault anyone or anything totally amazing we were made to feel right at home the staff and residents were so welcoming

When I came here I was nervous and afraid because I would miss my mum and family but the staff and management made me feel at home and feel welcome. They have supported me in every way and attend to my needs and take me to doctors or hospital appointments and explain things to me so I understand what is wrong with me and I feel safe here.

Since the beginning of 2024 end of 2023, I have noticed a significant decline overall atmosphere in the home especially relating to activities, the ground caring staff are very good with my uncle and other residents. However, I feel that the residents are just now in their own rooms with nothing to occupy or entertain them, this applies to my uncle who used to be taken out regularly but since the staff have left he gets nothing.

There is a good atmosphere in the care home, and my daughter is made very welcome.

Very happy with the way my Brother is treated. He seems happy also which means our family and staff are very warm and welcoming, friendly, and keep the family up to date with my Brother.

A clean and tidy home which staff have tried hard to make homely for residents. Staff are kind and caring and treat residents with respect. Great effort is made to ensure food is given to residents while meeting their health needs. For example, a full fry- a favourite of my relative- is puréed and presented to still look like individual items.

Wonderful friendly home. All staff, nurses, carers and other staff. Can't fault anyone.

I cannot give enough praise for Arches Care Home - for staff who are wonderful, and facilities.

I came here very concerned with my brother's health and welfare. My concerns became unfounded as the weeks went past. I am very grateful for the concern and care my brother has been given I couldn't expect any better.

Home seems like a perfect fit for my friend. We had concerns when his mum died but she would have picked this facility herself if able to. Staff are all caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. I feel very content leaving my friend in their care.

I am happy with the care provided at the Arches. My brother-in-law's needs are met with excellent care and attention, he loves music and company, which the Arches provide on a weekly basis.

I am very pleased indeed to say my sister is very happy and well cared for here. In July, she with others was taken on a little holiday by members of staff. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and staff made this possible by making it so much fun.

Staff are very pleasant and helpful but communication is poor regarding appointments re doctors, dentist, outings etc.

I have given an excellent review of the nursing home to you because it is really well deserved and I congratulate the staff on their efforts at all times.

I consider the worker all proficient and kind and am happy to entrust my sister to their care.
