Since my mother moved into Carnalea Care Home her quality of life has increased immeasurably. She has put on weight, is clean and her every need is attended to, she looks better than she has in a long time. She sees a doctor when needed, has weekly hair appointments, chiropody appointments and any other
appointments are arranged when required. The staff are attentive, patient and caring with my mother and she is safe in their care. The staff are always attentive to my concerns, polite and informative and treat myself and my family with kindness and respect. Carnalea has changed my life, I no longer worry about her safety, I know she is well looked after and all her needs met. I have peace of mind.

My mum has lived here for 9 months now and in that time both my brother and myself are most satisfied with the care, comfort and dignity she has received. The nursing staff are all excellent, kind & caring. Head of carers also excellent. Always have time to answer questions or concerns.

The care and support for dad has been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful, showing dad patience and respect in all they do for him. They have certainly helped our family with any queries and kept us well informed at all stages of dads care. A great service.

My dad has now been a resident at Carnalea Care Home for the past three years and in my opinion has had excellent care during this time. Family members visit daily and are always very happy with how comfortable and content dad is and how attentive all the staff are to his needs. Staff are knowledgeable
and understanding of dads condition and always very approachable when answering any questions. I have recommended this home to other families looking for similar care.

I couldn't be happier with the care and support my mother is given here, all the staff are very friendly and caring, I could not fault anything. I feel very content that my mother is here, and she is very happy. My aunt lived here for 9 years until she died. That's why my mum chose here as she knew

My dad moved from his own home with me providing most of his care to Carnalea Care Home on 10 January 2025. Staff are welcoming and provide a high level of care. All the staff are pleasant and the home is well run. My dad's dementia is progressively getting worse and the home is managing the challenging
aspects of his behaviour sensitively and keep me informed of any incidents. Overall it is a relief to know my dad is well cared for.

My Dad has received first-class care from the day he came to Carnalea Care Home. Through the final stages of his life we, as a family have experienced nothing but love, support and kindness from all the staff. He has been made so comfortable with the medication he received and right until his final
days, he has been allowed dignity through the daily care of the staff keeping him clean and well looked after. Thank you.

Carnlea Care Home is a home full of love. 5 stars simply don't do it justice. The standard and quality of care our father has received has been outstanding. From the moment he arrived 2 weeks ago, he has been treated with dignity, compassion and respect by each and every staff member. Nothing is too
much trouble.
There are not enough words to express the depth of our gratitude. Our entire family has been welcomed and every morning we are greeted with a smile and a hug. The staff always have time for us, answering our questions with honesty and compassion.
My dad is now in end of life care and the staff are doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. We have total faith in their care and know he will end this life chapter in a home full of love, compassion and care.
We cannot thank you enough for helping make this one of the most profound and peaceful experiences, particularly for our mum who has been by his side almost constantly. You are all angels.

I cannot thank you all enough for the care you was have been providing to my granddad - every single person at Carnalea Care Home has been beyond friendly, welcoming, caring and attentive to my granddad and our family. Possibly the most beautiful, clean and peaceful care home I've ever been in. Simple
things like making sure he is washed, changed and shaved every day, coming in regularly to check up on him, offering teas and coffees to everyone, gentle and clear communication to us throughout. I am so grateful to know he is being looked after so wonderfully in his final few days. As a family, we could not ask for anything more.

Wonderful caring staff who always treat my dad with kindness and compassion. Communication is great and senior staff always speak to me when I visit to tell about how dad is doing. For the first time in a while, I feel dad is receiving the care he needs.

Mum is in the Sunshine Unit at Carnalea Care Home. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has received. The staff are warm and friendly and are excellent at their job. There is a lovely atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to go for daily walks with a carer or family member and there is a nice
garden area for them to sit in too. The food is of a very high standard. Each resident has a key worker and results of medical tests are relayed to me frequently. Staff will often ring me with the latest results and to discuss Mum's care needs. I visit twice a week, but live far away, so this is a great comfort. There are regular activities and Mum loves going upstairs in the lift to get her hair done. She is happy and settled, and the home is immaculate. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of my precious Mum.

I am more than satisfied with the care my uncle receives at Carnalea. He is treated with respect and dignity and is supported in all aspects of daily living. I have only positive feedback regarding the staff involved in his care. His behaviour can be challenging at times and staff has come to understand
and handle these behaviours in an understanding and caring manner. He is very happy at Carnalea and appreciates the care he receives and has made it his home.

I have been visiting Carnalea Care Home to see my uncle for almost 1 year now both upstairs and downstairs. In this time the staff have been very friendly and kept me informed about my uncle. The staff has also taken very good care of my uncle's needs. The home is also kept very clean and tidy. A variety
of activities are provided every day for the residents to partake in.

I personally cannot thank the nursing and their support staff enough for their care, thoughtfulness, kindness, and diligence in the excellent care of my late husband's aunt. The nursing home feels like home not only to the residents but also visitors who are treated with kindness. The residents, like

This care home is a home of excellence. The staff are friendly and always treat residents with care ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Of particular note is the standard of nursing care - second to none and of an excellent standard - yet at the same time loving and caring.

I have found the staff to be very hardworking and pleasant on the whole. They are kind and courteous to the residents. The building is spotlessly clean and smells fresh. I have found the nurses, a few in particular to be outstanding in their attention to ongoing problems and always proactive about the
care of residents. It seems activities are led towards residents who can be moved to them. It could be helpful if there was a bigger choice of light meals.

Thank you for your review, it's always good to hear your feedback. As for activities, our activities staff try to cater to all the residents in the home, One-to-one, and bedroom visits are done on a weekly basis although sometimes can be difficult to fit around family visits and working hours but we appreciate your feedback! Our therapy dog Sasha also gets around our residents in their rooms as much as possible as well. The options of lighter meals have been spoken about with our chef so we're hoping to see this change to be reflected on our menus soon.
