I don't know how our family would have managed without the Carnalea staff. The staff at Carnalea are very caring and supportive and most importantly keep us up to date with my father-in-law's ever-changing condition. The staff goes over and above their job to provide a warm and welcoming homely environment
for the residents and families visiting. The home is spotlessly clean and when I'm there visiting the residents all appear content, happy, and well cared for. My father-in-law takes part in the weekly activities, arts and crafts, music, movie nights,
Sasha the dog, etc all organised by the activities coordinator. Thank you Carnalea staff for making us feel so welcome and for the care you provide for my father-in-law.

My experience of this care home is very positive. The staff are very caring and supportive. And there is a pleasant atmosphere. My Mum is settled here, following her admission five months ago. She is given her dignity and respect by most of the staff.

I have found the care in Carnalea to be excellent from the start. They have been supportive of my Brother and myself. They are kind and thoughtful. They keep me informed of any issues i.e. falls, incidents, etc.
I feel they are getting to know my brother and beginning to appreciate his humour and
personality. My general issue is the home itself, I feel some financial input would be beneficial. It is generally looking tired and in need of updating. The front door is a particular problem, given how many people are having to navigate wheelchairs, etc.

My dad has just recently moved to Carnalea, having looked around many care homes this one stood out for us the minute we walked through the door every member of staff couldn’t have tried harder to answer all our questions. I don’t want to single out people by name but from the front desk administration
staff to the nursing staff and not forgetting the activity coordinator for organising various activities to encourage emotional and physical stimulation and the maintenance guy who went over and beyond to help us make Dad's room a home from home. The care Dad has received so far has been exceptional and has helped Dad and us as a family adapt. The nursing staff certainly need recognition for their caring nature and for going that little bit further to make Dad comfortable and content.

Our family owe Carnalea Care Home an enormous gratitude of thanks. The wonderful staff looked after both our parents over the last 3 years at all times in a professional and caring manner and showed them both dignity and respect right until the end. The staff are largely unchanged since Mum arrived
- a testament to the happy, comfortable ambiance at the home. This familiarity gave us huge support and comfort, with staff keeping us informed of any changes in our parents' health. Living in England, this provided me with so much security. I was always able to talk with someone, never rushed and I will be forever grateful. Our mum, with advanced dementia, got so much out of the singing activities and even our dad, usually an unwilling participant, was gently persuaded to join in and enjoy the entertainment. Mum, who had always liked to be dressed well, continued to look her best and Dad, loved to chat with staff about his life and family. Fantastic home with lovely staff.

Our aunt was a resident in Carnalea. During her time there she enjoyed the many activities. The staff were wonderful and she loved them all. When her health deteriorated the nursing care she received was excellent. The family would like to thank all the staff for the excellent care and support they
gave her and her family. The time our aunt stayed there was a happy one. I would highly recommend Carnalea for any family member needing nursing care.

The care that my stepfather and mother received at Carnalea Care Home was second to none. The respect and dignity they were shown during their time there meant so much to all the family. We got great comfort knowing they were in such good hands. My mum in particular was encouraged to take part in many
activities and felt very welcome there. My stepdad unfortunately was unable to do that, but was treated with such kindness.

My 86-year-old mother moved into Carnalea Care Home in July of this year from a residential home because she needed nursing rather than residential care. In the previous months, she had developed a pressure sore which had deteriorated badly because of not receiving the right care. Within three weeks,
under the care of the excellent nursing staff at Carnalea, the sore was almost fully healed. The level of care from both nurses and carers is absolutely excellent, not just in terms of physical needs but also emotionally and socially. We are beyond pleased and cannot recommend highly enough!

My mum has been a resident at Carnalea Care Home for several months now and we couldn't be happier with the care she has received. All the staff are incredibly friendly, kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure Mum is comfortable and happy and treated with the utmost respect.
The
staff have also been fantastic in helping my dad adjust to having my mum in care. It's been a very challenging time for him and all the family. I would highly recommend the home to anyone in need of top-notch care for their loved ones.

I couldn't recommend Carnalea Care Home enough. The residents are treated with dignity and respect. Visitors are always made to feel very welcome no matter what time of the day. I am so grateful for the time my mother-in-law spent there.
The staff went above and beyond in making sure she received the
best comfort and medical care she needed. There is always plenty for the residents to take part in, from birthday celebrations, activities and entertainment, enough to keep them busy. Thank you so much to all the staff for everything.

Absolutely fantastic. All of the staff are amazing. As well as being professional, you really feel that they genuinely care about the residents and they always go above and beyond to ensure their needs are met. The nursing staff are so caring and always keep us, as a family, well informed of any changes
in Mum's health. I have heard this is not always the case in other care homes. A lot of effort is put into the activities organised for the residents which makes a big difference to their day-to-day life. The place is always spotless. Very grateful we chose Carnalea Care Home for Mum.

Very quickly I gained confidence in the care my dad is receiving. Staff are very friendly, accommodating and give me reassurance that he is receiving the excellent care he requires. The staff are very proactive in their care of my dad. I admire each member of staff as they carry out their work with
professionalism and always a smile. This is so much appreciated as, as a family, we cannot look after him but I am at ease knowing the care staff and indeed everyone in Carnalea Care Home has also become his family.

Simply cannot recommend this care home highly enough. All their staff were caring and compassionate when my mother was admitted for palliative care in her last days. They went above and beyond to make my mother pain-free and comfortable in the time she was there and liaised with the GP practice to make
sure she was properly medicated. Whilst we were there, they did everything they could to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. The home was very clean and the staff are constantly making sure the needs of the residents are catered for.
