For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. My sister and I are quite pleased with my mother's care. We visit most days and the staff are very pleasant. However, I think there are too few staff to look after the patients. It must be extremely difficult to look after so many dementia patients.

My mum has been in Mount Lens for one year. Her personal needs and medical requirements have all been met by a solid core of dedicated nurses, carers and activities personnel, to keeping the residents happy and content. Mum is treated with love and respect and I am welcomed on every visit. The bedrooms and lounges provide a pleasant environment. Kitchen, cleaning, laundry and hairdressing services are very good. Management and administration are friendly and efficient. Routine is important and I am kept informed on every aspect of mums well-being. I am confident to leave her in their care.
