We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking care for their loved one.
My aunt spent 3 months in Woodgrove Care Home until her death in January 2025. From the first day she arrived there we immediately felt a great sense of warmth and homeliness. The manager, deputy manager and staff were great and very approachable. They made my aunt and ourselves feel so very welcome. During my aunt's stay nothing was too much bother for the staff. My aunt was a very independent woman all her life and didn't want to be in any care home. The deputy manager, in particular, spent time talking to her and she was beginning to win my aunt around when, unfortunately, she passed away. When we brought any of our concerns to the attention of the staff they followed this up and reported back to us. They answered my aunt's bell calls promptly. We were really struck by the staff and how they interacted with all the residents.
I think my mum is well cared for in Woodgrove Care Home. The staff are friendly and caring. I am regularly kept up to date on my mum's medical care and/or any other issues.
All the staff are so kind and always keep me up to date with Mum's health. The office staff are very kind. I give Woodgrove Care Home 100%
My dad has been a resident in Woodgrove since January 2023 but sadly passed away last week. I would just like to commend the Manager and her staff for the exceptional care and attention over the past 11 months. This is a great home from home that provides excellent love and care to the residents. My dad was always happy and content which is a big relief for the family. I would also like to mention his nurse who provided superb nursing care keeping me updated on dad’s condition regularly. Thank you to her. You’re a star.
My husband has settled in this care home. I cannot thank the management enough for the care he is getting. The staff is excellent and caring.
At present my family are searching for a Care facility for my 92-year-old mother. We visited Woodgrove as a potential residence and were just blown away by the services provided by the staff. The whole ambience of the facility was just home from home, all the time in the world was afforded to us by the Manager who told us to call in anytime and no appointment was necessary. It may not be the most modern Care Home but the atmosphere created by the love and care of the staff and the smiles and laughter of residents as we were escorted around was evidence of the happy home it is. It is 5-star quality in my opinion.
I have found Woodgrove to have been a very positive experience. Staff are engaging and my husband has a good friendly relationship with them all even though he can be very outspoken, they are still very caring towards him. The nursing staff are excellent and inform me of all my husband's GP visits, outcomes of test results etc. I am in frequently and can find no faults whatsoever in the day to day running of this comfortable care home.
A very caring home and staff. They have just gone through an extremely difficult fifteen months, and still the resident's needs are first and foremost on their minds. Well done to everyone at Woodgrove Care Home.
Home is friendly and clean. My husband is well looked after.

Woodgrove Care Home is the best that I've been in, all the carers are a great lot of people and I'm very happy with all that goes on in the home.

I am pleased with the manner and way that my sister has been treated and can see that the staff are very professional in their duties also in a very warm and welcoming way. Although my sister is at this time, always in her bed, she is not left alone, with staff always looking in to see how she is. My sister is very happy with the way that the staff treat her and that is, to us, very pleasing.

The care is excellent as is the food. The staff are interactive and generally interested in those they care for. The home is quite small which means it feels like home from home. The nursing staff are very professional and treat residents with care and respect. There are activities laid on daily for residents. Some shortcomings have arisen when the home was without a manager but staff worked together very well to overcome this.
Good choice of meals.
Activities good.
