My aunt was placed in Comber Care Home in Nov 2025 for rehabilitation after a long stay in hospital. She settled very quickly with the help of the staff who welcomed her and made her feel comfortable. My aunt was treated with dignity and respect and enjoyed getting to know the staff. It puts family's
mind at ease when your relative is being cared for and that they have really enjoyed being here. Thank you.

Clandeboye Care Home

from Julieanne S (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 5 February 2026

The hardest thing you ever have to hear is that your loved one has to go into a nursing home. That was the situation we were in when we found clandeboye. My granny was extremely head strong and tried her best to be independent so we were worried about her transition from home but with Laura's help (and
telling her she was going to go stay in a hotel) the transition was smooth. Laura's dog was also such a life line! Wee Murphy became her wee chum! The staff went above and beyond with her personal care and her social well being. Encouraging her to interact with other residents and taking part in daily activities. Their activities coordinator Carmen is an absolute angel who goes the extra mile for every one of the residents. The support we got when granny was receiving end of life care and afterwards was so very much appreciated. The staff are worth their weight in gold and treated granny like family right up until the end in May 2025. We can never thank the staff at the home enough

Manor View Care Home

from Patricia F (Wife of Resident) published on 7 January 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband's dementia went into a rapid, downward spiral towards the end of October 2025. For over a year, my objective had been to keep him safe, well, happy and at home. By October, despite his daughter and son-in-law putting their lives on hold and moving in with us, it became all too apparent that
this was no longer viable. We had been supported by my Minister and our GP throughout. Following hospitalisation and stabilisation, a room was made available at Manor View. As soon as I heard the news, I rang and asked if I could call and see where he would be staying. We live in the Bangor area, so I was able to call right away. The first thing that struck me was that I was welcomed warmly and given a tour of the suite where my husband would be staying. After such a drastic change in his life, his arrival in Manor View was like the sun coming out after a period of darkness. His care is exemplary, the staff are wonderful. Above all, my husband is happy.

Carnalea Care Home

This care home is second to none. My Mum received the dignity and respect she so deserved every single day she was there. I was always kept up to date with any test results or alerted to any concerns they may have had and I always felt we could ask them questions at any time. The support and compassion
we received at the very end was amazing and I cannot emphasise how much I would recommend this care home. ALL staff members were outstanding and I will be eternally grateful for the kindness and care they gave to my precious Mum.

During my mother's recent decline in health I feel that all the staff have been excellent. They have treated my mum with dignity and respect. Going to the home is not just like visiting my mum but visiting the whole family. The love and care given is not taken for granted and I know my mother is in
good hands.

I regularly vist my brother who is a long term resident. He has been bedbound for almost four years, so understandably can be difficult at times to deal with as he's in a lot of pain. The staff working with him couldn't be praised high enough doing a thankless job.

My cousin has been a resident in Comber Care Home for 2 years. I visit at least wice weekly. I always find the home spotless & smelling so fresh, staff are approachable and courteous, always have a smile and a kindly word for me. Nursing staff always inform me of Dr/Nurse visits and of any changes to
medication etc. The activity coordinators do a fantastic job with such varied activities and entertainment. I can only applaud the staff on the overall care given. My cousin saying 'Comber Care Home is my home now' means a lot as she feels happy and secure.

My uncle seems to be happy enough in Comber Care Home and so are we and he talks away to the girls who are more than helpful and friendly. He really enjoys the food as well. There is always someone in the office to discuss any problems.

Since my mother moved into Carnalea Care Home her quality of life has increased immeasurably. She has put on weight, is clean and her every need is attended to, she looks better than she has in a long time. She sees a doctor when needed, has weekly hair appointments, chiropody appointments and any other
appointments are arranged when required. The staff are attentive, patient and caring with my mother and she is safe in their care. The staff are always attentive to my concerns, polite and informative and treat myself and my family with kindness and respect. Carnalea has changed my life, I no longer worry about her safety, I know she is well looked after and all her needs met. I have peace of mind.

Mount Lens Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have found Mount Lens throughout my uncles residence there to be a calm, caring and very homely environment. The nursing staff are very attentive to residents health and take immediate action to ensure their needs are met. I was kept up to date on my uncles progress and informed when he had any new
health issues. My family and I were always content that my uncle was well looked ater and cared for. All the staff work hard to provide a home from home for the residents. I will always be grateful for the care they showed to my uncle.

My dad has now been a resident at Carnalea Care Home for the past three years and in my opinion has had excellent care during this time. Family members visit daily and are always very happy with how comfortable and content dad is and how attentive all the staff are to his needs. Staff are knowledgeable
and understanding of dads condition and always very approachable when answering any questions. I have recommended this home to other families looking for similar care.

My brother has been well cared for in The Arches Care Home since the home opened more than 25 years ago. The staff are wonderful; they look after him so well despite the fact that he is non-verbal.

I couldn't be happier with the care and support my mother is given here, all the staff are very friendly and caring, I could not fault anything. I feel very content that my mother is here, and she is very happy. My aunt lived here for 9 years until she died. That's why my mum chose here as she knew
how attentive the staff were. I know my mum is safe here and all her needs are taken care of.
