Overall Experience
My mum has been resident here for almost 1 year. She settled in quickly and is very content. The staff are fantastic, and the biggest asset to this Nursing Home. They have a warm, kind and 'human' approach with the residents and family members. Mum always looks forward to breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu has lots of variety and the food is of a very high standard.
Staff consistently monitor mums physical wellbeing, and, communicate any concerns promptly, which has put my mind at ease.
Her room is bright and of a good size and the building and grounds are well maintained. The whole environment is non-clinical and homely.

I've no reservations about recommending this Care Home to a potential resident or family member.

Overall Experience

Truly one of the best care homes I have experienced, we had to move my granny here due to horrible conditions in another home and I couldn't be happier with her here. The staff are so caring and make sure they understand each residents likes and needs, they go so far as to take detailed notes of what kind of juice they like and how they take their tea. The nurses and carers will learn who visits the residents and so if there are any concerns they come to you after you enter or before you leave to bring up concerns. This home has made the world of difference in care for my granny as even with dementia she knows she is safe, our family can't thank the carers and nurses enough for their support and dedication to looking after my granny, they truly are some of the best we have ever encountered. It feels like a home rather than a care home and speaking to other residents they have told us that they recieve everything they could want and are well looked after.

My Mother has been a resident in Ashwood for over two years. I am extremely happy with the care she is receiving. The staff are fantastic and have great patience with everyone. They always do there best to cheer my Mum up when she is stressed or having a bad day. They are very approachable and know the names of all the residents relations. My father asked if my Mum's room could be freshened up. Two days later the room was painted and new carpet put down.

My mother and father have recently moved into this wonderful facility. It is still early days, but they are settling in well, and I am finding all their needs are being met. Any problems, or queries I have had are answered immediately, and in a friendly manner.

It is hard to find a care home which can suit both my parents needs, but I am really impressed that the staff are doing their best to fulfill them.

I find the decor of the building very pleasing for older people, as when looking around other care homes, I found they lack any personality that older folk would find comforting and warm.

There are regular activities, and residents are very welcome to join in, but not pushed to do so.

Keep up the good work, and hats off to the Manager and Deputy Manager for their hard work making my parents feel welcome, and also myself in visiting.

My aunt has been a resident at this wonderful nursing home for almost 4 years. She is always well looked after by the professional and very friendly staff.

When you enter the home you do get that friendly homely feeling to be honest, which matters greatly I feel. Having had parents in different nursing/care homes, this one is excellent and I would highly recommend.
