I visit my husband regularly and find that his care is generally good. The caring staff and nurses are friendly and helpful.

If I have any concerns I speak to the staff and nursing staff to have any issues resolved.

Overall Experience
Mum spent almost two years in this care home prior to her recent passing. As a family, we were overall very happy with the care provided and attention given to her.
Regular music, craft and entertainment sessions were provided along with visiting choirs and school children which the residents love.
The home itself is bright and airy and staff are always very welcoming and pleasant.
There are a number of lovely spaces, inside the home to facilitate family visits along with well tended outside spaces on a sunny day.

We found the nurses in charge to be very caring, professional and resident centred.

Daddy has been a resident in Larne CC for 2 months now. He has settled well and is obviously clean and well cared for. Staff have been very caring and attentive to his needs. When he had an infection and was bedbound they turned and changed him regularly and recorded it. The Home itself is a lovely building and is very clean and welcoming. We asked a lot of questions when he was settling in and no-one made us feel like a nuisance. Daddy doesn't have much speech now but staff seem to do their best to interact with him as much as possible. We are very happy with his care to date.

Overall Experience

My granny has dementia and fell, she was put in this care home for some rehabilitation and to heal. The care was abysmal, we encountered staff eating the food from residents plates before giving it to them, they sent my granny in an ambulance without knowing where she was going and we had to drive around hospitals to find her, they would undress and dress her in the day room in front of people, the room she was in barely felt habitable and when we moved her from their care they didn't record it properly and phoned us a day later saying that she was ready to be moved to the new home, she had already been out of their care for at least 12 hours and so this was a blatant lie and showed they had went at least 12 hours without checking on her well being or even seeing her. I would say that the service she recieved here could not be considered "care" as the home had no idea of her whereabouts at least twice and they also lied about this. I would not want anyone else to go through this.

My mother stayed here to recouperate and heal after a stay in hospital, this placement was offered by social services. My mum was not cared for as she should have been, her hygiene was neglected, we witnessed a member of staff eat food from her plate before giving it to her and she suffered a fall and was not taken to hospital even though she was on blood thinners.

I witnessed my mum become very quiet and lose confidence in herself and as soon as we could we removed her to another care home. I will never forgive myself for allowing her to be placed here.

Wonderful care from dedicated and professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after my brother who was there for two weeks respite care and I cannot sing their praises highly enough.

The staff look after my mother very well. They try to keep her occupied and interactive to the best of their ability. They always immediately inform me of any issues. My mother's room is always clean and tidy.
