My grandmother has been at this care home for roughly a month or so. Since she arrived we have all been extremely satisfied with the care home. My grandmother's general health has improved noticeably, from better physical health to a better memory (far less "bad" days) which proves to me that the staff
are taking care of her and other residents well. She's also made friends with some of the other residents who are mostly a pleasant bunch.


The staff are all very friendly to both us and the residents. Even when some residents are clearly in distress/pain/confusion the staff are extremely patient and calm. I do believe they genuinely care for the residents.


The care home itself is evidently clean and feels far more homely than the one she was in previously. My grandmother even had a choice of rooms. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well kept. Public rooms such as the dining rooms and day room are bright, clean and (on colder days) well heated. My granny also compliments the food.

I visit my mum at the home every other day and have always found the staff doing their jobs. The staff are all very professional and always have time for a chat about my mum. I have always found it to be very clean both in the bedrooms and public areas. The staff keep good records which we can see at
any time. All the residents appear happy and content. Good activities for anyone who wishes to participate.

Mum is well looked after, happy, clean and enjoys the company. The activities she takes part in she looks forward to. Since arriving all her medical problems have been sorted very well. Lovely staff and very clean rooms. Mum has settled well after a very rocky start. Top marks for all the care and attention

My granny has been at Castle Lodge for over 6 months now and she is very well settled. She has made some lovely friends who keep her company. The staff are always checking on her and making her laugh. They have all taken the time to get to know her. We are always made to feel welcome and can visit any
time. The unit is secure and clean. There are always lots of activities for the residents and my children like to play in the garden when we visit. We know my granny is safe and well looked after. Thank you to all the staff.

During the few months that my mother has been resident, I have found all aspects of her care very good. As a family, we can visit whenever we like and as often as we like. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The living areas are spacious and bright, my mother's bedroom is bright and looks out
into the excellent garden facility. The choice of food at meal times is varied. Everywhere is clean and importantly it is a safe environment. My mother is content in her surroundings.

My mum was admitted to Castle Lodge recently and has been given excellent care. On her "unhappy" days the staff have been brilliant which helps the family. She has been included in activities including beauty therapy days which she loves. There are always carers watching out for the residents and all
visitors are made to feel very welcome. The families wishes are taken into consideration so we feel mum is being well looked after with the care we would hope for so far an excellent home with fantastic staff.

The staff are fantastic, very friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Since my mother came here in May 2017 her health has improved, even her memory. She always said she never wanted to go into a home but now she doesn't want to leave, for me and my family, having her here where she is well
cared for takes away a lot of stress. The home is well run and I definitely made the right choice.

Mum is comfortable, safe and cared for very well. All her needs are taken care of and she feels safe and likes the carers. All medical appointments etc. are taken care of removing the task from myself. Much appreciated.

Staff excellent, provide great care and support to residents and relatives. Everyone is friendly, home is very, very clean and residents enjoy great social life and activities provided by the home all year. Couldn't ask for better care and support from all staff. Highly recommend this home.

I find my mother's care and health to be excellent. She is extremely well looked after and all staff are very attentive and treat the residents as their own.

My husband has early onset dementia. The manager and staff in Castle Lodge made my husband's stay a very positive experience for myself and our daughter. I commend the staff in Castle Lodge.

Home is clean, tidy, staff are kind and considerate to residents. There are regular activities. Would prefer all bedrooms to have a toilet and wash hand basin. Other than that quite satisfactory.

All staff at this care home are first class and treat residents with respect and dignity. My wife is always well dressed and presentable and there is no doubt that management and supervisors see that this is the norm. The facilities are always clean and tidy. This goes a long way in the good name the
establishment has in the district.
