Mum settled really well 3 years ago in July. Mum is happy and feels well looked after.
Many thanks for your review. We are delighted your mum is happy and feels well looked after.
I came here in November 2021 after having 2 strokes, and I had been told I would have to go to a Nursing Home. I was happy to come to Movilla as I knew my mother was well cared for some years ago. I knew this was my new home, and I have been happy since I came. I have an ulcer in my bowel, after the hospital, and I needed a lot of care and help. Thankfully much better now. I enjoy the food, chefs are very good. They will give me anything I can eat, especially after being ill. Activities very good and there is a reception desk upstairs.
Many thanks.
Response times to call bell very slow and since nurses station taken away from top floor this has had negative impact
More regular check ins to residents rooms would be a positive improvement

Staff are so friendly and professional. They have really made my Dad feel at home. He is a different man since joining and is more social. He enters into all the activities whereas before he very withdrawn. He thinks his room is comfortable and really enjoys the food.
Thank you so much for the very kind review, we are glad your dad is enjoying his time with us.
My mum was admitted to Movilla House after having a stroke. My sincerest thanks go to the nursing staff and everyone who works there. Mum has been receiving an excellent standard of care and she is treated with respect and compassion. She loves the daily activities and has made new friends. Mum has the ability to cheer others up and make them laugh. I take comfort that she's being well cared for and to have that peace of mind means the world to me. Thank you team Movilla x
Thank you so much for the beautiful review, it means so much to the whole team.
My mum recently moved into Movilla for end of life care. From the moment we stepped inside the home the day before she moved in (unannounced I would like to add) we were met with such a friendly welcome, kindness and a very professional manner. The care that has been provided to my mum has been exemplary, all the staff that we have encountered have been so caring, friendly, down to earth, nothing is too much trouble. Such a comfort to know that mum is being so well cared for in the final days of her life. I would have no hesitation in recommending Movilla to any family.
Thank you for the beautiful review. It's means so much to the entire team.
Mum has been in Movilla for over one year. She settled in very well and the staff are all extremely friendly and interactive. They all seem very caring for the residents. Mum's needs have changed over this time and staff have adjusted how they interact with Mum accordingly. We have only one (temporary) previous experience to compare Movilla to another nursing home and Movilla wins hands down.
Thank you for the kind and encouraging words. It is our pleasure to care for your mother.
Extremely settled in Movilla nursing Home. Staff and residents are like an extended family. I love getting my nails and hair done by the girls and there's always a different activity on which I try to go to. My room's cleaned regularly and the cleaning staff are polite and meticulous. Medication and meal times run like clockwock. Staff never pass by my room without stopping for a chat or a smile. I've made a lot of great friends at Movilla so far.
Thank you ever so much for the wonderful review, it means so much to us that you are extremely settled in Movilla and feel the staff and residents are your extended family.
I am a resident of Movilla House and I can recommend it to anyone. The care, love and kindness and help to me have been very good been if short-staffed at times. Everyone works really hard and the nursing care is wonderful, also rooms are cleaned each day and chefs are most helpful, choice of 3 on the menu and can get something more suitable if required. I have been living here since November 2021 and am really happy with all.
We can't thank the staff enough for all of their support. It is heart warming to see the rapport they have built up with him and the smile they bring to his face. I feel that Movilla are bringing the best out of my grandfather during often tough and challenging times.
Not an easy job but the staff are always so cheerful and keep mixing it up to keep everybody interested.
Mum has been a resident of the Home since 29 June 2024 after being in hospital for 5 months with a spinal fracture. Unfortunately, Mum needs 24-hour nursing care as she can no longer look after herself at home or be nursed at home with a care package that would provide the highest level of personal care and safety she deserves. Mum was welcomed by the staff and settled in after a short period of time due to the caring nature and professionalism of the staff. The staff interaction with Mum makes her feel safe and secure and although Mum is bedbound other Home staff call in with her for chats and to see if she needs anything during the day. It's great the Home has open visiting and is pet friendly as our daily visits with Daisy our small dog can be any time that suits us and are therapeutic for Mum. The food and snacks are excellent. The home's laundry service is excellent and the resident's entertainment provides inclusive fun for all. I would praise all staff for their care.
My mum is a resident in Movilla care home, she is very happy with the service that she receives. The staff all do a superb job of making Mum comfortable and happy, great activities and entertainment.
My brother-in-law was moved to Movilla House from the hospital after a fall at home in late November 2023. His care has been excellent.
I was apprehensive about my mother going into a nursing home but Movilla House has put all concerns to rest. The matron and staff are so welcoming, kind and provide excellent care to all residents. The staff are very approachable and will take action if you have any issues. The home is well-maintained and spotlessly clean. All food is good and nothing is too much trouble if you want something which is not on the menu. I would have no hesitation in recommending Movilla House.
Movilla and its staff has cared for both my parents for the last 3 years. The excellent care and kindness they have both received has been exemplary. Recently, my dad passed away in the home and in his final weeks he was treated with dignity, compassion and loving care from all the staff. Mum continues to thrive with the care she receives.
We are very happy with the care my grandmother has received. She’s been in for 2 years, the staff are very attentive, from the senior nursing staff to the cleaning staff. She is very comfortable in Movilla.
My mum has been in Movilla for over a year now and I am so glad that we were able to get her in here. The staff are so friendly and helpful and try so hard looking after the residents. The activities are much enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
My in-laws have both been residents in Movilla House over these past few years, although sadly my father-in-law passed away in October 2023. I cannot speak highly enough of the care that he received throughout his time there, especially during his last few weeks and of course my mother-in-law continues to benefit from. I have always found the staff to be extremely caring, supportive and friendly while at the same time always professional.
Mum moved into her new room in August, the carers are so lovely and have a really nice way with the residents, there is a hairdresser once a week, a must for my mum and they can get their nails done as well, food is good and also if you feel like something you fancy the chefs will make it for you. A lot of activities also, I know my mum is in the best place and is safe, they are all given their dignity and made to feel so special.
