This is a great place my granny only went in the past few months staff are lovely kind and caring and have fun with the residents , food and meals are great plenty of snacks drinks. This place looks like a hotel very well styled and clean with plenty of entertainment for the residents , has a cinema
room , mini cafe room where the do high teas , salon which granny done every week bedrooms showers are lovely , I was not happy granny going into a care home but this is the place I would want here I've been in many a care home through my job and this care home is honestly the best I've seen yet everything is done with a high standard . If I had to go into a care home this is where I would want to be when I am old .

Our Mum has lived in Milesian Manor for almost 3 years. It is a beautiful home with excellent facilities. The staff are amazing, caring, friendly and gentle with her. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The nurses are vigilant and professional and we are kept informed of anything we need to know.
There is a great range of activities which Mum is encouraged to join in with and Saturday tea parties which she loves. The staff recently helped us with a fantastic family party for her 80th birthday which was an amazing day for us all. She gets her hair done in the home every weekend and is always clean, comfortable and very well looked after. It is wonderful that we are able to visit with Mum to spend quality time, even if it's just to hold her hand while she snoozes. The quality of her care in Milesian Manor allows us that luxury, this time is so valuable to us and we could not have asked for better residential care.

I find the staff to be very pleasant and treat my father with dignity and respect. The food provided is of a good quality. The rooms, bathrooms and corridors in the home are kept very clean. The reception is always decorated for whatever event is coming up i.e. Christmas, Easter etc.

Dad has just recently moved into Milesian Manor. Myself and my brother are very happy with the care Dad is getting and how pleasant the staff are.
We were unsure how things would be when we moved Dad but very happy we did.

The care home has made a very difficult time a lot easier to deal with, the home itself is excellent and the staff go above and beyond. The fact that each resident has their own room which still grants them privacy.

My 95-year-old father lost his mobility and required full-time care after a serious illness. After visiting a number of homes in the area where his 91-year-old wife lives we selected Milesian Manor as best suited to Dad's needs. The home resembles a 4 or even 5-star hotel. Facilities including individual
bedrooms are excellent creating a homely and family-like environment. This has regularly been commented on by other family members and friends who visit Dad. Daily activities are organized by the home to entertain and enhance the resident's experiences. The staff are superb and can not be praised enough for all the care they provide. Their friendly approach and individual engagement with Dad are very reassuring. They always keep you informed of any concerns or worries they may have and regularly go that extra mile to ensure that the best care is always provided. My dad views them as his friends and this speaks for itself.

My mum lived with me for a short period of time, but unfortunately, she got to the stage where she needed 24-hour care. She has not been a resident long in Milesian Manor, but our first impression we were amazed, the home is very modern you would think you were staying in a hotel, it is very clean,
spacious all rooms have their own en suite. There appear to be lots of fun activities during the week. They have a cinema room, and a bar, but have not figured out if they serve actual alcohol lol. Spa facility. Staff are friendly and answer any questions you have. Overall, a very quirky care home.

We have visited our parents on many occasions and are very impressed by the kindness and care of the staff. The rooms are clean and bright, well kept and comfortable. We are listened to by management to help make our parents stay as comfortable as possible. Excellent links with the GP and very good
accompaniment for appointments outside of the home.

My mother spent two weeks in Milesian Manor Care Home for rehab following a stay in hospital for a UTI. She arrived in Milesian Manor on 6/4/22 and required antibiotics on 8/4,22 for the same UTI. The nursing care in Milesian Manor was exemplary. I never had to ask the nurses to check her condition
- it was always done. The nursing and care staff were very friendly and kind to her. My mother is a small eater at the best of times and when unwell even more so but she actually put on weight during her stay there. Her room was bright, always clean and the chairs very comfortable. It felt like a home rather than an institution. I would highly recommend this home.

I cannot praise the management and staff of Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home enough. The staff are so warm and friendly, and my mum is very well settled there. She enjoys the food and loves her room. I think that during the pandemic, Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home managed the care of residents
brilliantly, and the liaison between the staff and families was superb. I know there were a few outbreaks of Covid-19, but again, they all minimised the risks in an extremely exemplary manner. Well done to everyone in Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home.

Our mum has been a resident for 3-4 months now and this is the 4th care home that she had been in for one reason or another in the past 2 years. This facility far exceeds her previous placements in terms of the ambience and provision of a very plush and comfortable room and common rooms, but also in
terms of the very understanding and caring approach given by all of the staff.
We have had good experiences with some staff in other homes but everywhere she previously stayed, there were one or two staff who were not as professional. That is not the case here. Our mum presents some challenging behaviour at times but this is managed with compassion, understanding and professionalism that must be acknowledged in such a review.
We are delighted even if it means that we have to drive 45 minutes now instead of 5-10 minutes in the past. Thanks, Milesian Manor. Long may our association continue.

I have found such a change in my brother-in-law since being in Milesian Manor. Before he was unsettled, but now we can leave and know he will be looked after and happy. The staff are so attentive and friendly and the things they provide like entertainment, are so fitting for all the patients. It is
like home from home, even for the visitors. Keep up the great work.

Thank you so much for your kind words, we really appreciate your feedback, and I will pass it onto the staff. They are so good and try really hard to ensure that the residents are contented, especially when the resident is just admitted to the home as this can be such a difficult time for everyone involved. It is lovely to know that the care we give has made a difference to your loved one and also you as a family. Thank you.

When my brother became a resident in Milesian Manor he was very unsettled and withdrawn. Partly due to having been in three placements previously and with dementia this was to be expected. However, after a few months in this beautiful place, the change is amazing. He is not a wee lost soul any more
- he belongs! He is bright, clean, well dressed and well cared for in every way.
In fact, he is happier than he has been for ages.
The staff are loving, the atmosphere and activities are uplifting. It is so wonderful to see such a change! Thank you.

My mother has dementia and exhibits challenging behaviour at times. The staff are always very friendly and willing to give daily updates on my mother's mental and physical condition. They contact me and keep me informed if there are any issues that I should be aware of. They are not only very patient,
helpful and caring but are also pro-active in trying to prevent situations from escalating. The home is very welcoming, clean and homely and her bedroom is spacious, light and nicely decorated, with an ensuite bathroom. There are daily activities that my mother is encouraged to participate in, although she doesn't always want to take part.
Food and drink is served at regular intervals throughout the day. However, I would like to see more fruit (cut up) being served to those residents able to eat it.
The overall standard of care is excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending Milesian Manor to other potential residents.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.435)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.435) out of 10 for Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.951 for Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 103 Ratings = 4.951
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.484 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Milesian Manor Lifestyle Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 77 registered maximum number of service users is 15.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.4 = 0.584
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
