The Finance Manager and her assistants have been of no help to us and are obviously unsympathetic in terms of resolving this while retaining our funds - something which appears to be common practice.

My uncle sadly passed away on Friday. During my final visit that day the staff in particular one went out of their way to comfort me. My uncle was very happy at Trinity House Care Home. The piano and musical activities made all the difference.

You have also taken a full month of fees from her after her death which we still await the repayment. The length of time this has taken, the amount of communication that has been required has caused untold distress to a grieving relative.

We also signed the permission agreement that no photos were to be shared of our relative on any of your platforms. And yet on the 22nd September, you posted an image of my relative on your social media page when they had died 2 weeks earlier. This was unprofessional, unethical, and hurtful and we are still awaiting your formal written apology. Please inform relatives and POA, your photo permission form is not followed.

Today Trinity House Care Home staff treated our relative to a wonderful birthday party in the piano lounge. All twelve guests were made most welcome and the tea, sandwiches, cakes and birthday cake were delicious and beautifully presented. In addition, we were treated to some lovely piano playing. We cannot thank the staff enough.

I visit once or twice a week and have noticed that he is very often unshaven or not dressed ie: still in pj's and seems his teeth look unbrushed. Do they ever go on outings? I don't think so, maybe a walk in the park would be good for him, sitting dressed in an anorak on warm days. He seems happy enough. His mail, when I checked it, was mostly unopened. That is sad and think the staff should open his mail and read it to him.

Very good, looked after and cared for.

My dad is very difficult and the staff have been amazing. He had a major birthday yesterday and they put on a small tea party for him, even though he didn't want any fuss. It was just family and was really lovely.

Since my mother-in-law arrived at Trinity House after two months in hospital, she has blossomed with their care, friendliness and professionalism. Within a couple of days, she knew her carers' names, had a haircut and the lovely surroundings lifted her spirits and she is eating better. (Eating was a real problem in the hospital). A quick tour for me would have been nice.

The staff are all very good, nothing against them. Well taken care of. My feelings are all to the right.

I like living here. The staff are very nice.

I was brought into this home when I was discharged from the hospital. I was considering coming into a care home and this place was being organised and my room. I remember falling into the lovely lemon bath. Four workmen heard the crash, got an ambulance and I was taken to hospital, an operation was done on my right leg. My daughter told me I would come here permanently and I said OK and the rest is history. I am happy here and love the food, meals etc.

This is a terrific place to live. The staff are very helpful.

I have been very comfortable at Trinity House and have found the staff very friendly and extremely helpful in every way. Nothing seems to be any trouble.

My brother has been in Trinity House Care Home since 10th May 2021 and his overall care has been excellent. The staff have been exceptional and always very friendly and approachable. He has recently required additional health care and the staff have gone well over my expectations.

We had to find emergency accommodation for our mum who has dementia immediately after my dad's funeral. The shock of losing dad and a huge change immediately afterwards could have been a nightmare. However, with much prayer, mum also realised she could not stay alone in their empty house. Even as we had to drop mum off and could not even go in due to Covid restrictions, the lovely friendly welcome and beautifully furnished accommodation and kind staff made this easier than we ever imagined for dear mum.

Mum has been at Trinity House for just over a year after suffering a stroke. The manager and all the staff at Trinity have been excellent. I wanted somewhere local to me in Leith and accessible. The salon onsite and the consideration for Mum’s care has been two particularly positive aspects. There’s a lot to be said for keeping up appearances and I know Mum loves that. It’s not been the easiest of years but the home has kept up all protocols and with the first round of vaccines in place hopefully, we’ll be able to visit face to face soon.

My experience of my stay has been excellent. Staff and all personal of the highest standard.
