Over the past few weeks I have visited the home several times and will continue to do so in the coming weeks. During these visits, Shire Oaks Court has felt like a very positive and welcoming environment where the complex needs of the people living there are clearly supported. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and it is really nice to see the way individual needs are recognised and cared for. It is also great to see the variety of activities available, giving residents lots of opportunities to take part in things they enjoy.

My son was critically injured in a road traffic hit and run incident in November 2022 and has been recovering since, in hospital, a care home, a rehab centre, and then we found Shire Oaks Court Care Home. He's 34 years old, and we feel Shire Oaks accommodates him and his needs. Socially, he is ready to enjoy doing things with Aid, cinema, bowling, cooking, reading, music, and food experiences out in restaurants. The home is comfy, well-staffed and friendly.

Reply from Jenna Wood, Marketing Manager at Shire Oaks Court

Thank you so much for sharing this - it really means a lot. We're so glad your son has found a place where he feels comfortable and supported, and it's lovely to hear he's enjoying getting out and doing the things he loves again. We truly appreciate your kind words about the team.

Excellent staff who really care and will do anything not only for my husband but for me and our relatives and friends. Nothing is too much trouble for them, always get asked if we are alright if we want a drink.

My husband has just been placed in this home. The place is lovely and the staff is very pleasant. I think he will take to the atmosphere at this home, which is very friendly and professional. It is still in the new stage and will only improve with time. My husband is still awaiting a chair so he can be taken out of bed. He is coping well with his twenty-four-hour care as he gets agitated when left on his own as he can't move.

Reply from Jo Hemmingway, Marketing and Communications Officer at Shire Oaks Court
