A visitor notices the basics first - whether a room is properly clean, whether people stop and help. Both take steady daily effort, so it's good to know they're holding up.

The Nurses have been a great help with organising my medications, making sure I have everything I need and always willing to help.
The laundry doesn't often get a mention, so it's good to know the team working quietly behind the scenes are getting it right. Just as good to hear the nurses have kept things organised for you, and that the kitchen has been giving you a proper choice at mealtimes rather than the same thing twice. Wishing you well with the rest of your recovery.

What a lovely place, my dad stayed at Templeton Place, Southampton for just over two weeks. He was recovering from major surgery and could not stay with me (daughter), so we had to find somewhere near to me, and that would accommodate his needs. From start to finish the staff were amazing, especially when my dads operation got cancelled and we had to change all the dates. Nothing was to much for them, they took the pressure off of me, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Everyone involved was just amazing, my dad was really happy there too. He didn't feel like he was recovering in a 'HOME', he felt so at ease and comfortable, his room was a suite and it was just lovely, looking onto the garden area, its like being in a 5 star hotel. My daughter loved visiting him there, there were no restrictions on times when we could visit, she loved all the animals they had come in too. The daily activities they do, is just wonderful, I would highly recommend this place, its worth a visit.

When my father passed away we had the extremely difficult decision of finding a care home for mum where she has the best Dementia care. From the first visit I sensed mum would be happy. It took a good week for her to settle but the support, friendship and care given by ALL the staff enabled mum to adjust. It's more like a hotel. I love the fact the staff don't wear uniforms, just name badges. Its more personal for the residents and visitors. There's no clinical 'smell' you often find in care homes. All essential support aids are stored away directly after use, leaving the home free from clutter and beautifully tidy. The choice of activities arranged for the residents is fabulous and the management team can often be seen engaging with the residents (as time allows). The meals are superb. The chefs put so much effort into providing nutrition and variety. Nothing is ever too much trouble and it's clear the staff are happy at work. Go and see for yourself - I recommend it 100%.
