Visiting

  • Visitors are welcome to spend time with residents and are encouraged to maintain regular contact with their loved ones. Visiting hours are flexible, allowing friends and family to come at times that suit both the resident and the home’s routine.

To ensure the comfort and wellbeing of all residents, visitors may be asked to sign in on arrival and follow any safety or hygiene guidance in place. Large groups and young children are welcome, though it may be requested that visits take place in designated areas to maintain a calm environment for everyone.

Pets are often welcome by prior arrangement, as long as they are well-behaved and do not cause distress to residents.

If a resident is unwell or receiving end-of-life care, visiting arrangements can be adapted to allow family and close friends more time and privacy.

Visitors are encouraged to check with the home team in advance if there are any special requirements or if they wish to arrange a private space for their visit.

Parking

  • The care home provides on-site parking for visitors, with spaces located close to the main entrance for ease of access. Designated disabled bays are available for those who require them, ensuring safe and convenient access to the building.

During busy periods, spaces may be limited, so visitors are encouraged to allow extra time when arriving. Where overflow parking is provided, clear signage is in place to direct vehicles.

All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, and visitors are asked to use the spaces considerately to ensure availability for others.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I came to visit my mother-in-law this week who has late stage Alzheimer's and the standard of care and support from the moment you walk into the home was outstanding. All team members were smiley all spoke and all paid attention to my Mum.
The home is beautiful and even though my mum is bed bound she
was well cared for and was happy. That is all as a family we can ask for.
Thank you for everything

Review from Ian M (Husband of Resident) published on 8 October 2025 Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Wife has been in this care home since mid August and despite being a new home which can come with its own problems it has never effected us or distracted them from showing her and me anything but respect and compassion My Wife has late stage Alzeimers and I have had problems about not being able
to give her the care she needs myself but I should not have worried I have given my wife the peace care and dignity she deserves from a wonderful team which allows me to become a Husband again and not a carer. If you want to give your loved one the best care you can look no further.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.289)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.289) out of 10 for Marton Gate Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Marton Gate Manor is calculated as follows: ( (23 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 23 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.289 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marton Gate Manor is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.2 = 0.164
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
