Admission Criteria

  • The care home welcomes applications for admission from individuals who require residential or dementia care. All admissions are based on an assessment of the individual’s care needs to ensure the home can provide appropriate support and a safe, comfortable environment. Before admission, a thorough assessment is carried out in consultation with the individual, their family, and relevant professionals. This includes reviewing health, personal, and social care needs, as well as preferences and lifestyle choices, to ensure a personalised care plan can be developed. Admissions are offered subject to the availability of suitable accommodation and the ability of the home to meet the assessed needs. Priority is given to ensuring that every resident’s safety, dignity, and wellbeing are maintained at all times. Trial visits or short stays may be offered where appropriate, to support a smooth transition into the home. The care home reserves the right to decline an admission if it is determined that the individual’s needs cannot be safely or appropriately met.

Visiting

  • Visitors are welcome to spend time with residents and are encouraged to maintain regular contact with their loved ones. Visiting hours are flexible, allowing friends and family to come at times that suit both the resident and the home’s routine.

To ensure the comfort and wellbeing of all residents, visitors may be asked to sign in on arrival and follow any safety or hygiene guidance in place. Large groups and young children are welcome, though it may be requested that visits take place in designated areas to maintain a calm environment for everyone.

Pets are often welcome by prior arrangement, as long as they are well-behaved and do not cause distress to residents.

If a resident is unwell or receiving end-of-life care, visiting arrangements can be adapted to allow family and close friends more time and privacy.

Visitors are encouraged to check with the home team in advance if there are any special requirements or if they wish to arrange a private space for their visit.

Parking

  • The care home provides on-site parking for visitors, with spaces located close to the main entrance for ease of access. Designated disabled bays are available for those who require them, ensuring safe and convenient access to the building.

During busy periods, spaces may be limited, so visitors are encouraged to allow extra time when arriving. Where overflow parking is provided, clear signage is in place to direct vehicles.

All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, and visitors are asked to use the spaces considerately to ensure availability for others.
