My dad stayed at Samuel House for 2 weeks respite care. He thoroughly enjoyed his "holiday" and is keen to go back for another stay. Very welcoming atmosphere. His room was very clean and comfortable and he enjoyed spending time in the lounge and dining room. The food was fabulous and we were encouraged to join him for meals. All the staff were very kind and welcoming and we found nothing was too much trouble for them. There were lots of activities planned throughout the day including a trip to the pub. The highlight of the stay was the staff. All very kind, hardworking and thoughtful.

My lovely Mum came to stay in Samuel House while my partner & I had a short holiday. I was very nervous about leaving her, this was the first time since she has needed round the clock care. As soon as we arrived, we were both made so welcome, such lovely, friendly, caring staff. Mum's room was so lovely, everything she could need was to hand. I unpacked for her & made sure she was settled & must admit I did shed a few tears when I left her. I felt confident though that she would be well cared for, & I had no need to worry. Mum couldn't praise the staff enough when I picked her up at the end of the break, she said to food was excellent too. I was very impressed with Samuel House, it's an extraordinary care home, we will definitely be using it again for all Mum's respite care. Thankyou so much to all the wonderful staff.

As Home Manager, one of the most important parts of my role is providing a safe and comfortable environment that residents truly feel is home.
