Gwyneth is the Commissioning Home Manager at Kingfisher House, bringing with her over 30 years of nursing expertise and extensive leadership experience as a Care Home Manager. Throughout her career, Gwyneth has championed a person-centred approach, ensuring that each resident is treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

Starting her professional journey as a frontline nurse, Gwyneth has gained in-depth knowledge across elderly, dementia, nursing, and palliative care. She is proud to offer these high standards of care to the local community in Perth.

Gwyneth’s vision for Kingfisher House is to foster a welcoming, safe, and enriching environment where both residents and staff can thrive.

I've been a Nurse for over 35years, predominantly working within the NHS, actually starting my career in Hillside hospital, the site that Kingfisher Care Home now stands. My interest has always been care of the elderly, dementia, either at home within the community or in a hospital. I have extensive experience within Tayside's palliative care services. My ethos is always to deliver care as I would expect for my family. I look forward to providing excellent nursing standards and working alongside my colleagues.

Hi, my name is Emma, and after 18 wonderful years in the hospitality industry, I’m excited to begin a new chapter as a Business Administrator here at Kingfisher House Care Home.

During my time in hospitality, I developed a strong foundation of transferable skills from leadership, organisation, and communication to a deep commitment to delivering exceptional service. Managing teams, coordinating operations and ensuring every guest felt valued has given me the tools to now support residents, families, and colleagues with the same level of care and attention.

I’m passionate about people and about creating welcoming, supportive environments. In this new role, I look forward to contributing to the well-being of others and being part of a sector that truly makes a difference.

And of course, my door will always be open — whether it’s for a coffee, a chat, or just getting to know our residents and their families a little better.

I am delighted to be part of the team at Kingfisher House as a receptionist, following the recent opening of our wonderful home! With over 10 years of experience in customer service, I have developed a genuine passion for supporting others and creating a positive first impression. Hello, I’m Leigh Watson, the Team Leader here at our brand-new care home. I’m excited to be part of this new beginning and to help create a welcoming, caring environment for our residents.

I hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have extensive experience supporting older adults, including those living with dementia and those needing palliative care.

My goal is to ensure every resident feels respected, valued, and truly at home. Together with our dedicated team, I’m looking forward to providing exceptional care and building a warm community here at Kingfisher.

Every dish prepared speaks volumes of commitment to flavour and authenticity.

Toti takes pride in sourcing fresh, locally sourced ingredients to craft meals that are both nutritious and indulgent, using the magic of traditional cooking.

Experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager with a multi-trade background spanning electrical, plumbing, joinery, flooring, and full property maintenance. I combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership experience across hospitality, serviced apartments, and private property operations.

My career progressed from large-scale infrastructure work with Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors to facilities leadership roles with Staycity Aparthotels and The Spires Serviced Apartments, managing preventative and reactive maintenance, compliance systems, fire safety, water hygiene, PAT testing, budgeting, and team development.

I chose to move into care home maintenance because I wanted my skills to have a more direct impact on people’s daily lives. In a care environment, maintenance is not just about buildings — it’s about safety, dignity, comfort, and creating a secure space for vulnerable residents. That responsibility aligns strongly with my values and high standards.

Hello, I’m Nazifa — thank you for taking a moment to get to know me. I’ve always been drawn to people, their stories, and the little things that make a big difference in someone’s day.

My journey into wellbeing and activities began when I worked as a carer for four years. It was during that time that I realised how much I loved making someone’s day a little brighter — those small moments of joy and comfort that mean so much.

More recently, I’ve worked with Home Start, first attending a nurture group for mums facing mental health and well-being challenges, and later becoming a peer supporter myself. In this role, I helped others by sharing mindfulness techniques through movement and creativity. I cherished the opportunity to support, listen, and walk beside others. The experience taught me a great deal and strengthened my commitment and passion for supporting people’s wellbeing in meaningful ways through creativity and connections.

Creativity is also an important part of my life; I hold a Master of Arts in Spatial Design. For me, creativity isn’t just about design, but about how spaces, experiences, and relationships help people feel stronger and more uplifted.

When I discovered this new opportunity, I felt genuinely excited about the meaningful moments I could share with residents. I truly believe every person’s story is valuable, and I look forward to bringing my care background, creativity, and sense of community into making each day here memorable and special.

Lana is our Head Housekeeper, a cornerstone of our home, whose extensive expertise in housekeeping brings both precision and warmth to everything she does. With years of experience and a tireless work ethic, she takes full ownership of her responsibilities and leads her team with diligence and pride. Her leadership is defined by a strong sense of accountability and a hands-on approach that ensures every member of her staff is supported, motivated, and aligned with the home's values.

Her commitment to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is matched by her meticulous attention to detail. From the sparkle of freshly cleaned rooms to the thoughtful arrangement of personal touches, she ensures that every space feels like home. She cultivates a team ethos rooted in respect, reliability, and care—where every task, no matter how small, contributes to the comfort and well-being of our residents.
