A beautiful place staff are all lovely, caring,helpful and make time for even frequent visitors. The staff/management were all so helpful and went above and beyond at a very distressing time to settle our best friend in for end of life care.

Castlewood has a great atmosphere and it felt like being part of one big family in a five star environment. The staff are amazing - kind and friendly and were always there for me. Their care and compassion made a huge difference to my time there (five months). The home is always clean and well looked after. The food was wonderful and my family enjoyed some great meals there. I'm very grateful for my time there and I will miss everyone now I am back home. I will miss my weekly hair appointments too. I would highly recommend Castlewood to anyone looking for a safe, caring and welcoming place.

Mum has mixed dementia and deafness. She is settling in so well in her new home. Today, for example she has had her hair cut and blow dried by Sarah at the salon and it's made Mum feel great. The whole home is beautifully designed and maintained. It smells really lovely too. We love the huge windows and views over the Ribble Valley and up to Pendle, and the spaciousness and layout and the calming interior design. The staff are on top of all Mums medications. The doctor visits regularly too. Meals are quite simple but Mum hasn't much of an appetite these days what is really nice is that the staff always offer us cups of tea and we can stay for lunch too. Mum loves the outdoors and she enjoys the benches and seeing what is growing in the greenhouse and raised beds. I appreciate the fact that her clothes get washed separately and so are not likely to go missing or get mixed up with others. Castlewood has a friendly and caring vibe. We are happy Mum is here.

Lovely and clean. The rooms are beautiful especially the ones with their own patio. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much for them. All very helpful. I have recommended this place to a few people for respite care and also permanent residency.

Very nice place to stay. Staff very friendly. I think they could do with a little tea room were you could visit. As I have only visited twice I don't think I can say much more at the early stage, my friend has only been in a few weeks so I cannot really comment much more, maybe in the future when I have visited more times.

We urgently needed to find our mother a care home and I can not praise Castlewood enough for the compassion the team have offered in such a short space of time. From initial call with administration, to the assessment with the manager and meeting the care team, everything was seamless and easy, which is what families want in these difficult times. The building and facilities are amazing. The environment light, airy and feels like a home not a care home. The scheduled activities offer an enabling environment and although my mother might not remember after, she certainly engages in the moment, providing her with stimulation and giving her a purpose for her day. We know that our mother will not 'get better,' but I have no doubt the social connections she has had in this short period of time has improved her wellbeing both physically and psychologically. I would highly recommend anyone who is considering care for their loved ones to visit Castlewood. It is an amazing place.

When the time came for us needing a care home for my Dad, we instantly knew walking into Castlewood that this was the right place. The staff and the facilities are second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Castlewood.
