The purpose-built home has 40 en suite bedrooms and to single occupancy apartments, across four small units - each with a shared dining room, lounge, relaxation spaces and a sensory bathroom. The home has a central hub with an assisted daily living kitchen, a therapy room, beauty salon, and gardens accessible to everyone living at the home.

The team includes Registered Nurses, therapy professionals, care assistants and life skills facilitators, with training in positive behaviour support.

The focus at Walton Grove is on person centred goals - such as routine building, skill recovery, community access and meaningful activity - within a local, familiar environment close to public transport and family links. The aim is to avoid repeat placement breakdowns by offering tailored support from the start.

The care my dad receives is outstanding. The home is spotless. The carers are amazing. My dad has complex needs and his carers take it all in their stride. It is like a little family and is more like your own home rather than a care home. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful place to look after

Hi, I’m Dan, and I’m the Home Manager at Walton Grove in Failsworth.


Exemplar Health Care has a reputation for delivering first-class, person-centred care, which is achieved by truly focusing on those using the service. I wanted to get back to focusing on the individual and making a positive difference in their lives. This is something that Exemplar Health Care is known for.


I am thrilled to be able to develop what will no doubt be a strong and successful team at Walton Grove. However, I am most excited about sharing successes (big and small) with everyone who is a part of Walton Grove - we have an exciting journey ahead of us!
