Overall Experience

Nobody wants their parent to end up in a care home, especially with the horror stories about them that you read in the press. But Mercer Moors is a beautiful building and the staff are some of the kindest people I have met. Mum has been there about two months now and already the people caring for her there have begun to feel like family. She has quite complex needs, which we were concerned would prove a challenge but staff at Mercer Moors are patient and loving, and keep family involved in decisions and planning. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I would highly recommend this facility and the staff to anyone in the difficult stages of deciding where a loved one spends their last years, if that can't be at home.

Since my Mum has moved in the manager and the team off the home have worked really hard with her. Making her feel at home and settled. No job is ever to big for them and will always go above and beyond, to provide support they need, setting up counselling and other teams. The team have dealt with a lot and never let my Mum down I thank you all for that. Always make us feel welcome and supported always available to contact.

Overall Experience
My mum moved in February 2026 after numerous falls; she was no longer able to look after herself at home. Right from the first contact, all the staff were friendly and helpful.

She has settled in well and feels safe and well looked after.
