Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

I joined the Bupa family in early 2024. I’m proud to be the Home Manager here at The Bridles, and I’m really looking forward to getting the home up and running and getting to know people in the local community.

Before moving into the care sector, I worked in retail management, but it was when I supported my sister — who managed a small family-run care home — that I truly saw how meaningful and impactful care work can be. Watching the team make such a difference to residents and their families inspired me to take my career in a completely new direction.

I began as a night care assistant, completed my NVQs, and progressed through senior care, head of care, deputy manager and eventually home manager. Over the years, I’ve managed a variety of homes — from small independents to more complex services needing significant change — and I’ve commissioned five new homes before joining Bupa.

What I love most about working in care is the difference we can make every single day. It’s often the small moments that mean the most. Every resident brings a lifetime of stories, and it’s a privilege to be part of that. Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, and with almost 20 years in the sector, I bring a wide range of experience (and plenty of lessons learned) to my role.

Outside of work, I enjoy scale modelling and dancing. My wife and I love the rock ’n’ roll live music scene and have taken many dance classes together. We’ve been married for over 35 years, and we have two grown daughters — one a nurse and the other close to qualifying as a paramedic. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find us dancing the night away!

Job Title: Customer Relationship Manager Joined: 2026

I joined Bupa in 2026 and stepped straight into my role as Customer Relationship Manager here at The Bridles. My journey into the care sector actually began long before that, on a personal level. When my mum needed support, I started visiting care homes to understand what options were available for her. What I discovered genuinely surprised me — modern, welcoming environments with dedicated, highly trained teams who truly care about the people they support. It felt worlds away from the outdated perceptions of care, and much more like a home from home.

That experience stayed with me and inspired me to build a career in the sector. I’m passionate about helping families find the right care solutions and building trusted, long-term relationships with the people who come to us.

What I enjoy most about working in care services is the chance to make a real and meaningful difference every single day. Often, it’s the little things that matter most — taking the time to listen, offering reassurance, or helping someone feel more comfortable and at ease. Knowing that the work we do adds value to the lives of residents and their families is incredibly rewarding, and it’s what motivates me every day.

I live locally to The Bridles and have been happily married to the same lovely lady my whole life. We have two amazing children and two wonderful grandchildren, and I treasure every moment I get to spend with them. Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, listening to music, and simply making the most of time with my family. For me, connection and community are important in every aspect of life — personally and professionally — and I feel very lucky to bring those values into my work here at The Bridles.
