Jessica McGovern

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2026

Jess began her career in care in 2010 as a carer and has since progressed through a variety of roles to become a Registered Manager. Gaining experience in each position within the home has been incredibly important to her, as it has given her a strong understanding and appreciation of the responsibilities, challenges, and value of every team member.


Jess says, “It is a privilege to now be the new manager of Lake View Care Home, and I am very excited for our future.”


Jess’s passion has always been supporting people—helping individuals improve their quality of life and ensuring they feel respected, valued, and genuinely cared for. She is committed to creating a positive environment where both residents and staff can thrive.


She holds a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, which has strengthened her knowledge and leadership skills.


Jess has a particular passion for dementia care and end-of-life support. She believes these areas require not only skill and knowledge, but also compassion, dignity, and a truly person-centred approach. Being able to support individuals and their families during these important stages of life is a privilege and continues to inspire her dedication every day.

Claire Hadlow

Job Title: Head of Care Joined: 2026

Claire has worked in the health care environment for over 25 years, in which she has gained a vast knowledge and experience within her role.
She has started working in a care home for ex-serviceman as a carer and over her career she has progressed to the role of Home of Care.
Claire is passionate that residents continue to be as independent as they can be when moving into a care home and encourages all staff to embrace the philosophy that they work in the resident home and not the residents living in their work.
She is driven that everyone is empowered to improve their knowledge and experience within the home.
Claire has recently joined the English Oak family at Lake View Care home on the Isle of Wight as head of care. Claire said “I am so excited to be joining such a wonderful home. I cant wait to make new memories here.”

Vicki Watkins

Job Title: Head Housekeeper Joined: 2024

Vicki started her housekeeping role working for English Oak at Hunter's Lodge Care Home in Fareham, starting September 2024.
Vicki enjoyed her role and gained experience working with a supportive team.
Vicki has now moved over to the island where she is Head Housekeeper at Lake View Care Home.
Vicki will be head of a strong, hardworking team, showing dedication and making sure there is a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Home.
Vicki is very ambitious and is excited about working in a professional and friendly atmosphere and also working well and communicating with the care team who will show 100% dedication to all our lovely residents.

Ryan Clarke

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2026

Ryan started his career in catering 23 years ago as a chef, working his way up the head chef and then head of catering.
Ryan has trained and worked in a number of hotels and restaurants across the Island.
Ryan started as a head chef of a residential home, where he then found a new passion and love for his job. Ryan loves to look after all his residents, their family’s and the staff that work alongside him.
Ryan has many qualifications in catering, including a city and guilds NVQ level 3 in cooking, hospitality and catering.
Ryan says “Fresh, high quality, healthy food is so important to the residents
Health, and is my primary objective is to supply all my residents with the most nutritious, tasty and well-presented food.
