Job Title: Clinical Services Manager

Hello, I’m Wayne! I’m the Clinical Services Manager here at Surbiton. I have over 25 years of experience in health and social care and more than 10 years as a Registered Nurse within the NHS before joining Signature Senior Lifestyle in 2024. I am passionate about delivering person-centred care, supporting the wellbeing, safety, and happiness of our residents while leading and working closely alongside our nursing and care teams.

I have a particular interest in aged care, especially supporting those living with dementia, and I am committed to helping create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and encouraged to maintain their independence. I believe in promoting dignity, choice, and individuality, enabling residents to live fulfilling lives and truly feel at home. Building trusting relationships with families and friends is also very important to me, ensuring they feel supported, reassured, and confident in the care their loved ones receive.

Job Title: Dementia Care Manager

With over 12 years of experience in the care sector, including more than 8 years in leadership and management roles, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals living with dementia and complex behavioural needs.

My experience has given me a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of people living with dementia, as well as the importance of supporting families through every stage of their journey.

I am passionate about delivering truly person-centred care and believe every resident should be treated as an individual, with dignity, compassion, and respect. Behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of memories, relationships, achievements, and identity — something that should always remain at the heart of care.

I lead by example and believe in maintaining high standards through visibility, teamwork, and supporting colleagues to grow in confidence and skill. I aim to create an environment where residents feel safe, valued, and genuinely at home.
What inspires me most is making a meaningful difference in residents’ everyday lives. There is no greater reward than seeing a resident smile, express gratitude, or describe their community as home — knowing they feel secure, comfortable, and truly cared for.

I am excited to bring my experience, energy, and passion to Signature at Surbiton and to help create an outstanding dementia community that sets the benchmark for exceptional care.
