My mum moved in to Honeysuckle house 4 weeks ago. The building is stunning! The rooms are like luxury hotel rooms complete with tv and high quality furnishings and en-suite shower room. The real added bonus for my mum is the balcony where she has her own, private, outdoor space. There are also...

Dad had a very quick transition. Had a fall at home on 2nd September, resulting in a bleed on the brain. I was told it was unsafe for him to return home as he lived alone. The hospital wouldn't would not discharge him until he he had a safe place to go to. Phoned the care home, to be told they...
Dad had a very quick transition. Had a fall at home on 2nd September, resulting in a bleed on the brain. I was told it was unsafe for him to return home as he lived alone. The hospital wouldn't would not discharge him until he he had a safe place to go to. Phoned the care home, to be told they couldn't take him until the 8th October. When I explained the situation, they fast tracked everything to accommodate his needs. He was discharged to honeysuckle house on the 29th September. Big change for dad, he has lived in flitwick for 66yrs, independently for 3yrs after my mum passed. He still has a voice. He has mental capacity. He has had alot of changes all of a sudden, but he was scared he wouldn't be listened too. They listened, So far, so good. Respect to all the staff.

A Nursing graduate, he began his career in hospital and private nursing in the Philippines, then built further leadership and administrative experience in corporate management. Since moving to the UK, he has worked in a care home setting, including rehabilitation care in a nursing home and as a Senior Carer, applying his nursing skills and knowledge to enhance resident wellbeing.
